Another Rome girl. Excellent. Just finished watching it -- we don't get previews up here, so can't comment on that, but you've picked up on all the best bits. Which was, like, all of it. A2 groaned when he saw Antony and said, 'God, it's going to be hard to take, seeing him like that for a whole hour.' So, not a fan with the man, but me? A little kohl's all right by me.
I had not realized how CUT Octavian is. My. Oh, my.
But the beauty of crawling back inside Vorenus's skin for awhile and that beautiful opening (although, let's be fair...it's a bit of a powerful fantasy -- he wasn't exactly nice to Niobe most of the time).
But I do totally agree that the little sound I heard during Pullo's almost silent understanding with Vorena was my heart splintering.
I thought, when Gaia died, that there would be many gleeful peeps on my friendslist. And I was cheering too, that Pullo got to take his revenge, but she would have died anyway, saving his life.
Antony was hotter than hot in his kohl and henna. No wonder Cleopatra will do whatever she must to keep him.
I'm so *happy* with the places this episode went - Atia learning what it means to trust Antony (answer: rejection and shame). Octavian floundering yet attempting to do his duty. All of them are reaping the rewards they deserve from their earlier actions, and it's great to watch how it all plays out.
That conversation between Antony and Vorenus, where he relayed Octavia's message, sort of screws with my head a little because there are so many ways to take most of what was implied there. What do you guys think that was really all about? *tiny flail*
Can't say. Was too busy watching every tiny movement on Antony's face, omg.

I do so love a show that will do that to me.

OH YES. I've grown accustomed to thinking of him as a bit reserved and effete, and then all of a sudden, hello! *g*
And I'm with you on the heart-splintering, too. I'm going to miss that feeling of being ripped open every Sunday night.
