( Oliver Queen has a smart mouth. You've known that practically since the beginning. But that night, the kid is quiet. He still tends to you, abysmal patient that you are, fetches you water and one of your few leftover MREs that goes down easier now that you're not burning up from the fever anymore, but he looks as if his mind is miles away from the wreck of your plane. )

Awwww... I love it :) I do think that Slade is secretly a softie, but I love that it wasn't OOC. Also, thanks for posting it on the comm.

This is really great - I love how Slade cares totally against his better judgment, and his thoughts on innocence and fight, and his distinction between whining and real whining. Love Slade's mock disgust when Oliver realizes he's being comforted too.
