When I received the prompt, I wasn't certain I could write them, but strangely enough, I fell in love. They turned out to be really interesting characters and I really loved writing this piece.
Thank you, dear. I'm so glad you gave me this prompt - I really had my doubts to begin with, but I think this is the best thing I've ever written (to date.)
You already know this is so loved and appreciated! I don't know what else to write here that I haven't already posted at the comm, but I can read this story over and over again without getting tired. It was such a beautiful gift and I'm blown away by it.
I love this so much! I think I said that before, but it was lovely to revisit this and appreciate all the subtle nuances of Koumyou's personality all over again. I think you have an amazing handle on his character.
This line is so my favourite thing:
Ken'yuu felt caught in Koumyou's riptide, dragged helplessly out to sea, fighting just to keep his head above water and craving the rapture of slow asphyxiation by drowning.
Thank you so much for writing this, I do hope you get another opportunity to explore both their characters again! ;)
I'm not certain I'll tackle them again soon, but I'm not afraid of the possibility. Ukoku is a fascinating character but Nii scares the crap out of me.
