There was always something to be done around the hospital, and Wilson always seemed like the one to do it. Cameron felt really guilty about interrupting a rare quiet moment for Wilson, but she had finally dug herself out of the mountain of paperwork House had wrought for her and figured he might have been hiding out with his partner in crime. She stuck her head in, looked around, and sighed.

"Sorry," she apologized. "I thought House might be hiding in here somewhere. You haven't seen him, have you? I need him to sign off on some procedures..."

"No, haven't seen him," Wilson confirmed, smiling at Cameron. "Good to see you, though."

"Good to see you, too." Cameron sighed, racking her brain as she tried to figure out where her ever disappearing boss might be. He never seemed to be around when she needed him. "You look beat. You should go home, get some rest, or something."

"No, thank you for your concern. I'm alright," he said, offering a smaller smile. "You should try the cafeteria. You'd be surprised how that man can hide in plain sight."

House went into Wilson's office without knocking and shut the door behind him.

Hard.

The door shut with a loud bang and House stood there, tapping his foot and waiting for Wilson to say something.

Wilson jumped about a foot, and really wished he hadn't. That probably gave House way too much satisfaction.

"Holy shit, baby," he said, clutching his chest. "You scared the piss out of me."
