Captain Jack Harkness is going to die fighting a tin can. Though, to be fair, it's a tin can with a lot of bite.

In a lot of ways this death is nothing like any of the other scenarios he'd ever imagined. )

Marcus will be wandering by, and arches an eyebrow. "New, I'm guessing, then? Welcome."

Jack raises an eyebrow in return, gives this newcomer a very necessary cursory sweep of his appearance, and then takes a step forward, holding his hand out to him. "Something like that. I'm Captain Jack Harkness," he says with his best grin, and somewhere in his mind, he hears the Doctor tell him to stop. It's enough to make him a little sad, actually, on top of annoyed.

"And who are you?" he asks, his grin widening as his eyes scan the stranger again.

"Marcus. Marcus Cole," he says, shaking the offered hand. "It's a pleasure, captain."

"So it is," he says smoothly, giving his hand a firm and little bit of a lingering shake. "So, Marcus," he asks, dropping his hand and looking back around at the hotel, "where are we?"

"I'm just as confused as you are," Ben says from the stairs. He's been exploring a bit, seeing just what the hell this place is. Sure, he's still confused about a lot of things -- like how his boyfriend is apparently married to him, when for him they'd started dating a few months ago, but all that can wait. He gives Jack a bit of a smile and a nod and heads downstairs to introduce himself.

Jack can only be so upset about his fate with pretty men like this running to greet him, though he is more unsettled than he's putting on. It's all fun and games until -- well, until you get killed, and Jack still can't shake the weirdness that was waking up after a supposed Dalek extermination. He's still suspicious, and even more so of this place; maybe the Daleks did kill him, and they used one of the transport signals to pop him here instead of Satellite 5, in which case Rose and the Doctor might still be in trouble. That gives him a new sense of urgency ( ... )

"Yeah. Though that's probably because I got here a couple days ago." He shrugs a bit and walks over to Jack.. "But I do know we're in a hotel, people come here from out of nowhere -- I was leaving my apartment and then I was here, so."

He shakes the offered hand with a smile. "Ben Bruckner. Nice to meet you."

Definitely sounds like the Daleks' idea of a reality show, though really it could be anything, and the thought of that is discomforting. He's stranded with just his wrist strap but no other equipment -- other than the sort he always keeps well serviced -- and no way of knowing how exactly he got here. Or at least, no immediate way. He'll figure something out; he'll survive. That's the main goal, the "do this above all others" rule, or at least it was. Before the Doctor. Before Rose.

Now he has a responsibility to make sure the universe isn't collapsing, that he can rest assured that the Dalek invasion is over. Something ranks above his safety in the grand scheme of things.

In a way, he's just a little unhappy that he has to change that back.

"And you," he grins, giving him a firm handshake. Now to analyze what time period he's in. "And where exactly are you from?" he asks smoothly.

Bruce is on his way in from the pool, and stops when he sees the new arrival.

"So you just got here, am I right?" he asks, heading over to Jack with a charming smile. "Welcome to the hotel."

Jack flicks his eyes over this new person and resists licking his lips before he even introduces himself; he got in pretty serious trouble with something like that once before with a culture he wasn't so familiar with. Smoldering grins, though, those are generally universal -- just have to be careful about baring teeth, with some races -- so he gives this person one of his best.

"Just about." He holds his hand out, taking a small step closer. "Captain Jack Harkness."

That smoldering grin is being returned in full -- if he has to be a playboy, why not play it up to the hilt? Bruce shakes the offered hand firmly.

"Bruce Wayne. Nice to meet you," he replies, letting go of Jack's hand after a moment or two.

He can instantly tell that Bruce is playing back, and Jack is not going to let this particularly handsome and well-chiseled opportunity go, even if he can hear the Doctor's "stop it" practically on repeat in his mind. "And you," Jack replies smoothly, suavely, stepping in closer again, hovering just on the inside of Bruce's personal bubble. Just-inside-personal bubbles is Jack's favorite place.

"So, Bruce. Can you tell me a little more about this place?" he asks prettily, the flirting tone unmistakable in his voice even if he's asking something as mundane and factual as that. Jack doesn't need to flirt with actual words; tones are enough.

Warren's in the lobby for once, rather than the beach or the sky, and he smiles when he sees the new arrival. He's (blond, attractive and) shirtless as he usually is, large wings shifting for a moment before settling comfortably against his back. "Hi. You look new."

Jack looks up and he can feel his grin start to spread immediately, his eyes taking in this beautiful sight in front of him, and for a moment, the TARDIS, Daleks, and the Doctor are forgotten.

Just for a moment, a brief one.

"And you look gorgeous," Jack purrs as he stalks closer, not unlike a predator but nowhere near as threatening. He gets as close at this stranger will let him, immediately stopping once Jack picks up on any disapproval of his approach, and he holds his hands out, his grin the picture of smoldering, of desiring. "Captain Jack Harkness."

Lulz they can even get excited about spaceships and captaining things.

He chuckles a little, glancing away for a moment, somewhat shy. He has at least become more comfortable with himself since he arrived here but he's not exactly used to that sort of reaction. Or at least, a reaction that blatant. "Thanks, I think." His wings shift closer to his back, slightly uncomfortably, but he looks back up with a smile as he extends his hand to shake. "Warren Worthington. The third," he adds, with a more self-deprecating smile.

"There's three of you?" Jack asks teasingly as he takes Warren's hand and doesn't shake it; instead he brings it up to his lips, his gaze never once drifting off Warren's as he places a very gentle kiss to the back of his hand.

Clark will be walking by and notice the disconcerted new arrival. He offers a weak smile and a little wave. "Uh... would it help if I say that you'll probably get used to it eventually?"

He raises his eyebrow at him and lets his gaze flick over the bookishly attractive guy who seems to be hiding a potentially delicious physique behind those clothes. Jack always did have a thing for uniforms and suits, to be perfectly honest, and his smile is instantly bright and flirty as he takes a few swift steps toward the newcomer. "Depends. What am I getting used to? Attractive men talking to me?" He smiles, laughter and a healthy mix of lust making his eyes gleam as he puts his hand out. "Captain Jack Harkness."

Clark looks more than a bit taken aback. He... really doesn't get flirted with. Well, okay, he doesn't get flirted with as Clark. "I... uh.. I meant the..." he waves a hand around, indicating the general vicinity before tentatively shaking Jack's hand. "Um. Clark Kent."

As far as reactions to his greetings go, stuttering and fumbling is one of his favorites, and he shakes Clark's hand lingeringly, giving it a firm squeeze. "Very nice to meet you, Clark," he purrs, finally letting go of his hand, but he isn't going to be a total jerk to him. He smirks knowingly and backs off, just a bit, setting his hands on his hips. "So what am I getting used to then?"
