"I guess I'll see you at your apartment," Diana says to Steve, before racing off down the city street and tossing her scarf over her shoulder at him. She runs down a sidestreet, shedding her coat and ripping off her sweater and skirt to reveal the star-spangled armored costume she always wears underneath. She races out of the alleyway, golden ( Read more... )

Clark is nearby, and ducks into the room upon hearing a new arrival, blinking a bit at her costume. "Um. For your first question, a hotel in the middle of nowhere. For your second... uh... nobody actually knows."

Diana steps toward Clark, studying him pensively as if sizing him up. Few people she's met stutter that nervously when they're lying, so she doesn't rope him, just keeps her lasso up. "What do you mean by the middle of nowhere?"

"Um. Really. Middle of nowhere. It's on an island. People just... show up, and... uh... and nobody can leave."

"Which island?" If she's in the Aegean sea, she has no doubt that she can at least navigate back to Themyscira, if not to New York. If she's in the Atlantic, at least it shouldn't be difficult to make her way back. "And what or who prevents them from leaving?"

Bruce regards her from a doorway with one eyebrow raised, trying to hide a slight lipquirk. "No one, as far as we can tell. It's called the hotel." He steps forward, carefully, holding his hands out so this woman will hopefully see he's not a threat.

"Nice outfit, by the way."

Attempted hiding or not, Wonder Woman notices the look on Bruce's face and rolls her eyes. Typical shallow masculine attention; if she wants a quick answer, she'll have to either beat or rope it out of him. "The hotel?" she repeats, casting her lasso over him and pulling it tight around his chest. "Inspired name. Are you going to tell me where we are?"

Well, it's Bruce Wayne. He's a pro at shallow masculine attention. (Be glad you didn't get Tony, Diana.) He blinks a little at the lasso and struggles some, rather bemused. "I just did. A hotel. In some sort of pocket dimension or something, no one knows for sure."

Unfortunately, Wonder Woman is an Amazon, and thus quite impatient with this manly practice. "Pocket dimension?" She's familiar with the concept, in a sense, but not the name. "Who brought you here?"

Arthur pushes the doors open and walks in, on his way to raid the kitchen for some lunch. He certainly did not expect to see a stunningly beautiful woman in rather skimpy attire (granted, the man is from Florida, so that is not exactly the most unusual part to him) standing in the lobby. The twirling of her lasso like a cowgirl is more what catches his eye, however, and causes him to frown.

"Um, hey." Skirt around the crazy lady, don't stare at her breasts, continue on to get food. Sounded like a good plan to him.

"Stop there." Wonder Woman's voice is soft, but her command is definite. Years of royal and military education has taught her no less. "I need information. Please, if you know, tell me where I am."

The tone of her voice does cause him to stop where he is, carefully holding his hands up in front of himself. "This is the Hotel. Which sounds really dumb, but- that's the only name for it. It apparently sucks people up and deposits them on this island with no rhyme or reason. I don't really know more than that, besides the fact that we can't get off."

He keeps an eye on her, wary; it seems like every time he turns around he is getting threatened, and he would prefer to escape this confrontation as quickly as possible if it was going to go that direction.

At his display of surrender Wonder Woman slacks her lasso and rolls it up, placing it back on her hip before stepping forward with her hand extended. "Thank you," she says. "Your help is greatly appreciated. Please, what attempts have been made to leave? Is there simply no transport available?"

Michael hasn't spent much time on the island, and he's still getting used to seeing all sorts of characters around, some he recognizes, some he knows, some he's never seen before. With nothing else to do he takes to wandering the grounds, and this time as he walks into the lobby he spots the gorgeous woman standin there in the lobby, dressed in what could only be described as a superhero costume. In fact, she looks kind of familiar, but he can't place his finger on it exactly.

Straightening his tie and taking a deep breath, he walks right up to the woman and shakes her hand. "Greetings, strange woman!" he says enthusiastically. "And welcome...to the hotel of...dreams!"

At the sound of Michael's voice, Wonder Woman turns with a raised eyebrow, lasso at the ready. This small man doesn't seem to pose a threat, but you can never be too careful. "Thank you for your welcome. The hotel of dreams?" she repeats doubtfully, unsure whether he's being poetic or serious. "What makes it of dreams?"

Michael bows awkwardly and takes a step back, trying to stutter out an answer. "Uuuh...." Finally, he just grins widely and laughs it off. "You're good, you're very good."

Wonder Woman understands, more or less, that he must have been trying to make a joke, but the humor is entirely lost on her. "Thank you, I suppose. What is it that I'm good at?"

Well, Supergirl can't help but head in when she sees someone who is obviously another superhero. The fact that she's a woman just makes it better, really. So Supergirl touches down in front of her, quirking an eyebrow and giving her a small smile. "Welcome to the hotel."

Wonder Woman is intrigued by the appearance of another costumed woman, especially one who can fly. "Thank you," she smiles, twirling the lasso by her feet. "And who do I have the pleasure of greeting?"

"Supergirl," she replies, offering a hand. "I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but you've ended up in a hotel that -- apparently, no one can get out of."

"So I have heard." Extending a hand, she takes Supergirl's and shakes it firmly. "Supergirl? I am Wonder Woman. I believe I've heard of your counterpart." She studies her quickly-- this is a woman with the physique of an Amazon, if not the training. No doubt with her flight ability, she is capable of some great power. "Although I must admit, I had not heard of you."
