A normal person would just walk through the door and head for the front desk, but we're severely lacking in any sort of normality here. Instead, the door inches slowly open, as if whoever's pushing it hopes no one notices they're arriving, and in swaggers a sopping wet pirate, saltwater dripping from his dreadlocks, beard, and clothes. Like any ( Read more... )

"Depends." Here, then, is one of the resident billionaire playboys, on his way from the gym to grab a water bottle. He gives Jack an amusedish look and shrugs. "I'm guessing you know Captain Turner, right?"

"Aye," Jack agrees, quickly looking Bruce over and deciding not to pick his pockets. "He's a fine sailor, Captain Turner, and a good man. How d'you know him?"

"Seen him around. He gave me a tour of his forge after I first got here." It's a good thing you didn't, Jack, it would probably end badly. He offers a hand with a charming, easy grin. "Bruce Wayne."

"Whoa." This is coming from a little boy, who's staring up at Jack with big eyes. "Are you a pirate? A real one?"

"Has your mum ever told you not to ask strangers about their professions?" Jack asks, but doesn't wait for Jason to answer, and truth be told, wouldn't care what the answer was one way or the other. "Look at it this way, son. If a man drenched in seawater, stripped of His Majesty's colors, or anyone else's for that matter, drinks rum while wearing a sword, well." He leans in a little closer with a grin. "Now, what do you think he does?"

"My mum asks strangers 'bout their pr'fessions." There's a bit of a grin. "An' I think you're a pirate." He's almost bouncing, a little, but not quite. "I'm Jason!"

Polexia appears with a little smile, curious as to this rather eccentric-looking newcomer. "Hi," she offers cheerfully.

She raises an eyebrow, but doesn't appear surprised at all (largely because she's not). "Nope. Can't think of anything."

There's a face that Thomas recognizes. Though Jack might not recognize him, he may at least recognize the style of clothing; the standard cut off pants and too-big shirt that seemed to be a sort of uniform for cabin boys.

He smiles, a little hesitantly, a little hopefully, and takes a few tentative steps towards Captain Jack.

"You probably don't remember me, sir, but I met you once. I was just a cabin boy, but I saw you. You commandeered our ship, actually." Even so, Thomas has a great amount of respect for Jack.

Jack drains the rest of the rum and tosses the bottle aside, turning and blinking while blearily regarding Thomas. Ah, some familiarity. He's known a lot of cabin boys in his time so he recognizes the type if not the face.

"Did I?" he asks, fishing under the bar for another bottle. "Well. Small world, isn't it. What ship would that've been, boy?"

"The Lady Mary, sir. But I'm sure you commandeered a great many ships. I've heard so many stories about you, Captain Sparrow. They say you're one of the greatest."

A shy lad, still, Thomas takes a seat on a bar stool a little ways away from Jack. "You got away from the East India Trading Company, didn't you? And managed to escape after you were marooned?"
