Up on the roooof..

Somehow, it's doubtful there's anyone on top of the hotel. That's good, Batman prefers it that way. He's up there in search of a certain Man of Steel. It is dark, of course, just past nightfall, and Batman is glancing around. When it's clear no Superman (or Supergirl) is going to float down out of nowhere and ask him what's going on, he moves

And in a few moments, Superman will emerge from behind a cloud and hover in front of him. "What do you need?"

"I need your help," he says flatly. "I don't know if you heard," that's a lie, he knows quite well Clark heard, "but Claire was attacked last night."

"I heard. I was out over the ocean. By the time I got back to the island, she was already being attended to. I didn't think I should interrupt."

[goddamnbat]

"And what about her attacker?" very drily. "Did you think you should 'not interrupt' with that, too?"

The Joker's prowling around, as he tends to do when he's bored, and just can't pass up this delicious opportunity. He steps out of the shadows where he was lurking, looking for mischief, and giggles in anticipation of a fun night ahead.

"Well, I'm no Superman, but I hope I'll do."

And Batman immediately lunges to tackle him, with a snarl. "You."

And the Joker goes down, laughing all the way. "Me! Mememe! Oooh Batsy, I was thinking you didn't care anymore. I wanted to come out and play."

"Playtime's over." It's mostly a snarl, as he slams the Joker against the rooftop. There's more than a few punches too, thrown in for good measure.
