Open posting Lara

She's been going to the gym, running laps, swimming daily, but there simply are things Lara cannot do without her personalized training room, and she's starting to be rather frustrated and restless.

In a secluded yard, where she can't possibly hit accidentally one of the kids around, she set up some targets, and she's now practicing her shooting ( Read more... )

Warren hears the sound of the shots from above and glides in, quiet so that he doesn't startle her once he notices that it's just someone shooting at targets. He lands a distance away behind her, meaning to watch for a moment before walking back to the hotel.

She tumbles from one shooting point to another, fires another shot, one knee planted in the earth, and stands abruptly to drink some water. That would be when she catches sight of... man with wings? Angel?

....."Hi."

That's odd. He doesn't look menacing, though.

He was about to turn and head back when she stops, so he stays for the moment. "Hi."

"Did you need the space ?" Not that she's uncomfortable, but she does know her minimal courtesy.

Dakota heard the noises, and has been watching Lara practice for a few minutes, at a safe distance of course.

She's really very impressed with the woman's stamina and skill.

Eventually Lara takes a break, and looks up. "Oh, hello there. Found your bearing a little?"

"A little," Dakota returns with a smile. "I've been a little restless. I'm not really used to having nothing specific to do."

"Yeah, it kind of gets like that," Lara replies. "I've been restless as well." She shrugs. "The common evil that never dies."

Vin watches for a moment, brow furrowed. He doesn't recognise the make of the weapon-- not that this surprises him, he just assumes she's from another time-- but the shooting isn't making quite the right noise. And there are no holes in the targets. But still, there's something he missed in the sound of gunshots.

He wonders if she'd let him do a little target practice when she's done, but he's not going to interrupt her workout to ask. He'll wait till she's not rolling around with a loaded gun.

Eventually she does stop, and she'll look at the western figure - well that's someone different. At least there's not three of them, and there's no singing. It's an improvement.

She gives a nod in greeting. "Hey."

"'Lo," he greets softly. "Yer good," he says easily. "D'ye mind if I shoot a little when yer done?" He doesn't want to interrupt, but he misses the recoil of his mare's leg, and he wouldn't be averse to some friendly competition, if she's willing, but he's not going to ask in case he's intruding.

The politeness is very appreciated - she smiles. "Sure, it's a public place, cowboy." She tilts her head to the side. "What're you shooting with?"

She's definitely up to it, but not the type to offer it upfront - friendly and open, though, is her demeanor. She's feeling better for the exercise.
