so bring some right here

With the Christmas season in full bloom and a calendar of obscure holidays hung in the closet of her own room,  Lonely Tourist Charlotte Charles, who was alive, if you had forgotten, realized it was December 20th, also known as Go Caroling Day. The girl more commonly known as Chuck can be found going door to door, singing (not terribly well, but it ( Read more... )

Joan's been looking to make some new female friends around the hotel. Or, if she's fair with herself, any new friends of any sort. When she hears some cheery singing further down the hall, she squares her shoulders, checks her hair (and the poinsettia pin on her green dress), and says, "Well, Joanie, this is your chance."

She steps out of her room and saunters down the hall to where Chuck is singing and says with a smile, "Looking for some harmony?"

"Happy Go Caroling Day!" Chuck greets, looking quite festive in her red dress and white sweater. "And, oh that would be wonderful."

She hands her a songbook, for she'd been hoping for some company as well. "I'm Chuck!"

She smiles politely and can't resist a quick assessment of Chuck's outfit. Cute, slightly unsophisticated, no threat at all. She takes the songbook and leafs through it. "Joan Holloway. Pleased to meet you...Chuck. Is that short for something?"

"Oh. Charlotte. Charlotte Charles--" Surely, no one will recognize her name here. "Ned's called me Chuck ever since we were little."

Christmas is coming, indeed, and the goose is getting almost as fat as the young boy who will hope to eat it soon. Tottering through the hallways, Cartman hears Chuck singing and joins in, although with a completely different song.

"Mister Hankey, the Christmas Poo! Small and brown, he comes from you! Sit on the toilet and here he comes, squeeze him between your festive buns!"

As always, the typist apologizes.

Oh, Chuck's amused.

She blinks down at him, smiling bemusedly. "That's a new song," she says, "Never heard it before."

"Then you must not have heard of Mr. Hankey, either," he says. Not that he can blame her-- he ripped on Kyle for believing in Christmas poo before he met the magical poo in question.

"Hmm. I've never heard of him either," she admits with a little shrug. "Is Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo a new thing?"
