Captain Emil Blonsky kicks down the door to the lobby, preparing to shoot Banner on sight (and whoever else might get in his way). But Banner isn't there.

What is there is a very nice looking hotel lobby that is not at all like the lab he was expecting. He keeps his gun aimed, because you can't be too careful

And by some bizarre twist of fate, Bruce Banner happens to be just passing through the lobby on his way to head outside for his daily meditation. He pauses when he hears his name - shouted by a horribly familiar voice - but by the time he realizes he shouldn't actually step into the room, he has. Bruce pauses, not letting his heartbeat skip.

Best not to say anything, either.

Blonsky hears movement, and he swears to whatever God may not exist that he can smell Banner. Then the man himself appears and Emil trains his gun on him. "There you are, you freak. Where the fuck have we gotten to? What did you do to us?"

The gun makes Bruce's heart pound a little more, but he considers himself to be logical so panicking is out of the question. He'll just ... Have to explain. Carefully.

"I didn't do this," Bruce says, trying to keep it calm. "I don't know where we are."

"Then how in the hell did this happen? Explain how I was just at your friend's college, and now I'm here." He fires his gun at the ceiling, to make his point that much more clear.

Andros is startled when Emil barges in and more startled by the gun, he's never seen one that looked quite like that before but guns and blasters never really change all that much. One hand twitches reflexively toward his other wrist, but he clenches his fist and keeps his hands at his sides. "Who's Banner? And why are you trying to shoot him?"

"He's the man I'm hunting. Which is also why I'm going to shoot him. And if you don't explain where I am and why I'm here, I swear I will shoot you too without a second thought." Hell, he'd shoot him now, just to channel his anger somewhere, but the boy could have answers.

Andros tenses, not quite falling into a fighting stance but ready to. "It's a hotel, nobody knows where or why. Now put the weapon down." He wanted to morph but for one thing, the guy might shoot him before he even put the code in the morpher.

Mun: Rather not get him killed just now, but you're perfectly welcome to wing him a little if Emil is so inclined. ;)

We're relying rather heavily on the mechanics of heroism here-- namely that Claire is doing something pretty stupid, but since it's in defense of the innocent, supposedly it'll all turn out all right. But this is exactly why she's begun to carry a gun, and when Blonsky pulls his, she pulls hers right back, not showing anything resembling fear.

"No you won't," she says steadily. "Now put it down."

Blonsky snorts, amused at the heroics of the girl with the gun. "I don't think so, little girl. But your toy away before you hurt yourself."

While it's likely Blonsky could overpower her, that's not a threat that particularly scares her. "Only when you put yours down." She takes a step forward, her stern expression unwavering. "Now."

"There will be no shooting of anyone in this hotel," Pepper said firmly, her arms crossed. It's the height of stupidity to challenge someone with a gun, but then she took on Obediah in his suit. She'll take this guy on too.

He's not having the best day ever. He's sweaty and jittery, and he wants to throttle Bruce Banner. But anyone else close by would do just fine, too.

"You're joking me, right? A slip've a thing like you's gonna stop me? Where's Banner? He and I have business to take care of. I'd step aside before I got a bullet in the thigh."

Pepper stayed where she was, scowling. "I don't know who you are or who you're looking for, but you will not get anywhere with waving a gun around. Put it away and then we can talk."
