Jim and Jimmy Gordon sit in the lobby of the mansion, Jim on the couch and Jimmy sprawled on the floor. Most boys his age would probably balk at their father keeping such a close eye on them, but Jimmy is lying close to his father's feet, occasionally shooting a discrete glance his way before returning to drawing in the blank notebook he found. And here comes Dick Grayson, either on his way to the gym or on his way to visit Babs.

"Hey, it's Gotham. That's better than the postcards."

Jimmy looks up, startled and surprisingly wary, but relaxes when his dad speaks up. "It is, isn't it. Hello, Dick. Jimmy, this is Dick Grayson, your sister's boyfriend."

This wary look promptly transforms into more normal skeptism, the idea of his little sister grown up is weird enough, but her having a boyfriend is too strange. "Hi."

And the third Gordon will walk into the room and stop, smiling a little. "Well, if it isn't my two favorite... currently present family members? ... That didn't make a lot of sense, did it?"

"Also your only two currently present family members." Jim chuckles. "Hello, sweetheart."

"Hi," Jimmy says, looking up from his drawing.

"Details." She'll grin and lean over, kissing her dad's cheek before sitting next to him. "What's up, guys?"

Harvey wanders into the lobby, feeling refreshed after an intense workout and shower. He sees the Gordons and offers a smile. "Hello."

Jimmy is immediately sitting up, sketchpad forgotten, back pressed against his dad's legs, eyes wide with surprised fear. The difference in Harvey is slow to register for him. Jim reaches down and squeezes his son's shoulder reassuringly and makes sure to keep his voice level and calm. "Hello, Harvey."

"How are you, Commissioner?"

Harvey sees that Jimmy seems a little afraid, but he chalks that up to the shock of finding himself here in a strange new place. He'll wait for him to relax before talking to him - he doesn't want to make him even more afraid.

"I'm all right," he says, keeping his hand on Jimmy's shoulder until the boy scoots up onto the couch next to him. He settles his arm around his son's shoulder. "This place a lot of getting used to though, doesn't it."

And Thomas will be walking into the lobby, and pauses, smiling a little at the scene. "Hello."

Jimmy's head pops up nervously, but Thomas Wayne is entirely unthreatening and he promptly flops back to drawing. Jim returns the smile and offers a friendly wave, already saying, "Hello," back before the man's appearance really sinks in and he doubletakes. Because having heard that a man's here who's been dead twenty years is one thing, actually running into him is another.

Thomas notices the reaction and smiles a bit sheepishly. "I'm guessing you're from... later. Like Bruce is."

He nods. "Yeah. The same time as he is, actually, or close enough." He stands and offers Thomas a hand. "Commissioner Jim Gordon, it's an honor to meet you." Jimmy looks up again curiously from where he's shading in the sky of his drawing with a pencil.
