Bruce is sprawled across a couch at the moment, but gets up when he sees Clark enter, studying him carefully. "Need some help there?" Cue the charming billionaire smile.

"Oh, um... Yeah, sure, I could..." He finishes his hop through the door and lets it shut behind him, trying to keep a hold of all his stuff.

Bruce heads over and takes the paperwork, then sets it neatly on a convenient table. "Looks like you were busy, wherever you were."

"Um, thanks." He adjusts his glasses and looks behind him inquisitively. "I was... going into the newsroom..."

The Joker smooths his hair back with a slow smirk. "Well hello hello hello. You must be new. Let me be the first to welcome you to my humble establishment, then."

He meanders towards Clark, taking his own sweet time. "You know..." Joker gives Clark a thoughtful, appraising once-over. "You sorta look like someone I know. A little beefier," he raises his eyebrows and squeezes Clark's upper arms, "But the resemblance is there. I think it's the glasses and the hair and the overwhelming eau de nerd you both give off."

Clark takes a half a step back, blinking. "Um. Thanks? ... Maybe?" He looks around. "You own this place?"

That gets a gleeful cackle. "Oh sure, sure. Absolutely, yes. Here's my card." And he produces a playing card, seemingly from nowhere, and presents it to Clark. "What's your name, cutie?"

Clark takes the card and looks at it, blinking. "Oh. Um. Clark. Clark Kent."

"Well, I'm normally... Just trying to make it fifteen feet to, uh, my desk, but..."

"It's a miracle you can make it two feet like that." He tilts his head and smiles. "I'm afraid you'll find that your desk isn't here."

"Lotta practice..." He trails off. "Yeah, I see that. This... I was walking into the newsroom, but. Um."

Harvey looks up from his book and stands, welcoming smile firmly in place. "It is a bit shocking, isn't it?"

"Um, if by that you mean... a bit really weird."

"That's one word for it," Harvey says, ruefully.

And a little smile. "Two words, actually."

"Hi!" Here's an almost thirteen-year-old, Clark, whose father would surely be freaking out if he knew Joey was hanging around the lobby without him. "Need some help?"

"Okay!" Joey heads over to hold the door open for him and gives him a small smile. "I'm Joey."
