Caitlin knew it, the minute she'd woken up in some place other than her bed, without Peter next to her. This wasn't Ireland, and this most certainly wasn't home for her. The auburn-haired young woman looked around, pulling her sweater just a little closer around her thin frame before she started to walk. After all, what else could she really do, when she had no clue where she was? She was on edge and wary, particularly now that she didn't even have Peter nearby. "Ricky? . . . Tuko?"
It was then she saw the familiar figure from behind, a relieved sigh slipping from her. "Peter!"
He'd heard the footsteps before he'd even seen who it was. That was actually starting to give him a headache. But it was also her heartbeat that he heard. But at the sound of her voice he smiled. Even if he didn't know where the hell they were.
Turning around, he watches her for a moment. "Caitlin. How'd you get here?"
She couldn't help but relax when she knew for certain that it was Peter. He was here, and safe; that was enough to make Caitlin feel a little bit better about things, at least. Without a thought she moved forward, closing the space between them and wrapping her arms around him in a light hug. She wasn't trying to be clinging or anything of the type - she just needed to make sure he was REAL, and not just something her mind was using to play tricks on her. Once she knew this was really Peter she pulled back, her hand staying against his arm, though, almost as if to anchor herself.
Those brown eyes looked around the place for a moment. It was unfamiliar. Which only made him want to protect her more. Not that she asked to be protected but that wasn't the point. Then he shook his head. This was all a bit too much for him. The not knowing who he was... dealing with everything that was going on. The strange abilities and now this.
"Don't know a thing. I stepped outside and ended up here."
