The confused look on his face says it all when Justin enters; this certainly wasn't the art gallery he though he had just been about to enter, unless there was some profound, artistic meaning to be found in a hotel lobby. "I wouldn't be caught dead in glittery red shoes." Justin looks around again. "If this isn't Kansas, where is it, and who are you?"

"It's a hotel in the middle of nowhere, as far as I can tell." Mimi grins and tips her hat. "'N I'm Mimi Marquez, most recently from Alphabet City."

"Justin Taylor, most recently from New York - how did I get here? The last thing I knew I was walking into the Silo gallery, and the next I'm here."

There's an uneasy pause here as he recalls the last time something strange happened to him that caused a lapse in his memory, and he lifts a hand to his forehead - no bandage, and he has no recollection of anything that would have meant a bashing.

A busty young woman looks up from her piña colada to glare reproachfully at the new arrival. "There's kids round, boy, watch yer mouth!"

"I don't see any kids. And I'm not a fucking boy," he adds. "I'm an adult."

Glancing at her dwindling supply of colada, Giselle orders a mojita and yurns around. "Y'certainly don't look like a man t'me," she rejoins.

Justin doesn't do well in stressful situations sometimes. This is one of those times.

"You look like some of the drag queens I knew in Pittsburgh, but they had better makeup."

Brian is bored to say the least and he's leaning leisurely against the check in desk, flicking plastic key cards across the lobby with a vacant expression. His ears prick at hearing the familiar voice and he turns his head with a frown, eyes widening when he sees who stands there.

"...Justin?"

"... Brian?"

The confused look on his face doesn't change - actually? It becomes even more perplexed, not only because it's Brian, but because he hasn't spoken with him since-- actually, he can't remember when he last called.

"Well who the fuck else do you think I am?"

He moves away from the desk and over towards Justin, stopping just short of him.

"What the hell is going on, where are we, why are you here--" he stops long enough to take a breath, then exhales slowly to try and calm himself down. "The last thing I remember was walking into the Silo gallery and the next I'm here. Only I don't know where here is."

"Need any help there, kid?" Sheppard is slouching against a handy wall, amused by his little outburst.

"Yeah, I'd like to know how I got from walking into an art gallery in New York to here." In spite of doing his best to stay calm, doubtlessly the nervousness is showing in the way he's looking around.

"Wish I could tell you," he sighs, shrugging one shoulder. "We all just kinda.. turn up."
