Mary has just been through perhaps the hardest day of her life. The man she has followed and learned from and loved has just been violently put to death. She doesn't know what to do or where to go

"Mary..." Judas says, staring at her, stunned. He's been used to Simon being here, but Simon is so happy and kind no matter what. He's never been good friends with Mary, and seeing her reminds him so strongly of what he did to Jesus.
Mary's eyes widen in shock. "Judas..." On the one hand she's relieved to see one person she does know, but she's still a bit sensitive about their confrontation. She's unaware that he's the one who betrayed Jesus, though it wouldn't surprise her to hear it.
She gets a cold shock as she suddenly remembers that Judas is supposed to be dead. "Why aren't you... you know... d--" She can't bring herself to say the word.
He laughs, harshly, wrapping his arms tightly around himself, wishing Simon were there to hold him and tell him everything's alright. "I was. But this place is beyond death. It's beyond -- reason. I wish I could explain it."
Judas takes a cautious step towards Mary, looking wary. "You're willing to speak to me, even now? After what I did?"
She smiles wryly, nervously. "I'm learning that very quickly."
Mary stays rooted to the spot where she's standing. "Well, that depends which 'thing you did' we're talking about here. You weren't very nice to me before, that's true, but I'm willing to forgive that. As for your death... it's not my place to judge you for that. I'm not perfect either." Her tone remains calm and neutral as she speaks.
Ever wanting to be helpful, but certainly not any authority here on this boat, Armand smiles uncertainly at the young woman. "I don't think we've met. Are you lost?"
Mary smiles warmly at Armand. "I was, but a few others were kind enough to show me around a little." She pauses before laughing softly. "I suppose in a way, we're all lost here. Right?" Suddenly remembering her manners, she gives a small bow. "I apologize. I'm Mary."
"I'm glad you've had help." He clasps his hands behind his back and returns her bow. "I'm Armand St. Just. I don't much of anything around here, but I imagine several others are the same."
"Very nice to meet you." A few moments later, she hastily adds, "--sir." He's dressed in fine clothing, so Mary assumes he must be someone of importance. "Have you been here long?"
