There is a girl wandering about the ship a key clasped tightly in her hand. She doesn't quite remember where she got it, only that it was given to her and she was told that there was a room for her...now if only she could remember where she was told to go. Feeling more than a little ill from the constant rocking of the ship, a ship which she had no ( Read more... )

Rodolfo has never been able to resist helping a poor girl retrieve her fallen key, and lucky for her he's wandering by after a successful raid of the kitchen. He picks up the key without a moment's thought, turns to hand it to the girl, and blinks. And stares. And his the expression on his face goes from shock, to delight, to curiosity, to about ten other varying emotions and feelins that he hardly knew existed.

He can't even bring himself to say anything.

She opens her eyes when she looks at the hand, strangely it seems familiar. She thinks nothing of it however, it's just a hand after all. She reaches out and takes the key from the hand without really looking up as she does so. She collects herself and slowly raises her head to look at the retriever of the key "Thank y--" She blinks a moment, making sure the sun is not playing with her eyes, making sure she's not seeing things. No, he is still there. She begins to say something, but nothing comes out of her mouth she just opens it a moment, then closes it again.

He's not sure how to react to this, but he closes his hand around hers when she takes the key.

"My beautiful Mimi," he murmurs. It's as if he's still not believe what he's seeing, and he takes an awkward step closer to her, hesitant in case she vanishes as quickly as she arrived.

She looks down at the hand that holds hers, then back up at the man it belongs to. Quite suddenly she pulls her hand away and throws her arms around his neck and pulls him close. "Rodolfo!" She leans her head against his chest, he is real, he is right there in her arms. "You're real."

Well, of course Marcello hurries over to find out if she's alright -- who is he to say no to a young lady who so obviously needs some help? He's going to pick up the key as well and offer it, with a slight smile. "You dropped this, mademoiselle," he says quietly, and trails off when he sees who it is. "I mean -- uhm -- Mimi," a little awkwardly. "Are you alright?"

She looks up at the sound of the voice, a bit too quickly unfortunately, and wobbles queasily a moment before finding her balance. "I'm actually feeling rather ill at them moment, however seeing you here has made me feel quite a bit better." She smiles at him and goes to take a step forward to give him a hug but trips over her own foot. She throws her hand back quickly toward the railing to catch herself.

He reaches out to take her hand, then pulls her into a tight (and mildly awkward) hug. "I'm glad to hear that," he says quietly. "Rodolfo will be very pleased to see you."

"Oh he is here too?!" She hugs him back hardly noticing the awkwardness in it. "I should hope he would be pleased, it's been so long since we've seen each other."

"Hey, you okay?" Here's the other Mimi, passing by on her way back to the room she shares with Benny. "You need to sit down or something?" She bends to pick up the dropped key, privately wondering how long it'll be 'til she has trouble bending over, but then gives the new girl a smile. "Come on, honey, you look like you could use a chair and some coffee."

She smiles, the voice is friendly and it comforts her though she can't quite explain why. "That sounds lovely, though I'm not quite sure I'm capable of moving..."

Bella is standing apart from the others, reading a small poster that has recently appeared. Apparently, her mother is trying to put together a musical performance on the ship. It will be good for her, Bella thinks. Perhaps she will stop living in the past, stop talking to Father when no one is there. It has been what---five years?

In any case, Bella looks up from the poster to see a rather unwell-looking girl.

"Hello! Here, let's find someplace where you can sit down. Is this yours, by any chance?"

She picks up the key and hands it back to Lucia.

"Oh yes, it is. Thank you so much. I'm just feeling a bit ill is all." She takes the key and slips it into the pocket of her dress. Feeling silly she mumbles "I always drop my keys..."

"Oh, that's perfectly normal! Perhaps the journey will make you feel a bit better. Welcome to the ship, by the way."
