This is Halloween!

The ballroom (because where else would those parties be held?) is lovingly decorated with black and orange crêpe paper, black and orange twinkle lights, pumpkin lanterns, hanging bats and skeletons, and all the tables are covered with black table clothes. On the tables with the black table clothes, there are all sorts of Halloween-y pastries and ( Read more... )

Here's an Anna in an adorable little rag doll costume! It's torn at the sleeves and the skirt is a tad too short for her tastes (a few inches above the knee). Her pigtails as messier than usual, held up with red yarn and she's painted two red circles on her cheeks and two lines to extend her smile. She enters the party room with wide eyes, letting out an excited gasp.

Ernst couldn't think of anything other than his cat costume, but didn't want to use that again so he'd borrowed some of Jehan's clothing. So there he was in a lavender waistcoat (with careful instructions not to muss it up, for it was Jehan's favourite), navy blue jacket, black pants, and a white cravat, feeling quite dashing.

He ran up and hugged Anna, "Oh you look wonderful!"

Anna made a little 'eep' noise when she suddenly found herself in the arms of Ernst. She beamed and hugged him back. "You as well! Oh! This looks wonderful, doesn't it?" Releasing him eventually, she took in the surroundings once more.

Georg glances over and spies Anna and -- oh my. That dress is... short... Ahem. He gives his head a shake and heads over to her, attempting to admire the rest of her, and not just what her dress reveals. Really, she's so... adorable in her costume. "Hello!"

Bella spent the past few weeks pouring over the books and stories in the library, hoping to find something suitable. She's tied her hair up, and is wearing an elegant--though slightly less...conservative-- dress than usual, and gone as Irene Adler from A Scandal in Bohemia. She looks around the festive ballroom and smiles brightly.

It's as close as Sarah is going to get to attending any kind of ball for the moment, so she's there, wearing a pretty red dress, and if she opens her mouth a pair of not-quite-real fangs may be visible. She wanders through the room slowly, looking over the decorations.

Georg fiddles with the bag over his shoulder, stepping a little nervously into the room. The baggy blue shirt he wears, slightly unbuttoned at the top, is held into place by the strap of the tattered bag that bumps against his legs when he walks. His pants are navy and kind of thin, and almost too short, his sturdy walking shoes visible beneath the legs of his pants. He opted out of a hat, mostly because he couldn't find one, but also because he thought perhaps his hair would be more dramatic. Yes, that's right; Georg's hair is not in its usual stylish coiff. It hangs somewhat messily on his head, and he feels strangely out of place without his hair done up.

He has a walking stick in one hand, which he's sure he'll ditch eventually, and an apple in the other. The bag at his hip contains a few more apples as well as some seeds.

Desperate for a costume, Georg had flipped through some books in the library. He found a picture of Johnny Appleseed and decided on his costume then and there.

Not being sure what at all to do, Armand is wearing a bedsheet tied somewhat like a toga and has some stolen leaves in his hair. He mostly lurks near the door to see who arrives.
