Out of nowhere, there's a young, pretty blonde woman. Looking confused. Very confused. Which means that if you've seen her before, she looks a lot more vulnerable than she ever has before.

And she's quite literally staring around her, but then again, it's a little unnerving when you open the door to your bedroom and are suddenly on a ship. Not ( Read more... )

Babe, you couldn't have me if you begged.

"Oh, you don't like begging, then? Then again, likely no one ever has. I suppose you've done your share..."

"Why hello, Muffy." Roger smirked. "Bit far from Westport, aren't you?"

"Well, I like to see the world." Dripping sarcasm off every word. "And what are you doing here? Corrupting more of the world with your particular brand of idiocy and racket?"

"I'm Roger motherfucking Davis, what do you expect?" He leaned against the railing, smirk still on his face. "Bohemia lives."

"Could you stop talking in catch phrases for a moment? Or did you lose your last functioning braincell already?"

Mark gave her a small, polite smile. "Hi -- Alison. Um, welcome to insanity."

Well, if Mark's being polite, he's going to get politeness in return.

Perhaps a little more than just politeness, too, in the sea of defensiveness. Perhaps a little gratitude, as well.

She smiles back at him. "Thank you... I... think. Is there a way out?"

He shrugged and shook his head, "Not that we've found. But if I do, I'll be sure to tell you." He fidgeted a little, but was determined to be nice. "How's Benny?"

She shrugs. "Fine as always. Busy."

After a moment, she crosses her arms and adopts a cold-as-ever tone when she tells him, "You don't have to make conversation with me."

April smiles hesitantly. She's not looking her best - rather pale and like she's somewhat ill - and she's bundled up in a sweatshirt and a blanket despite the fact that it's not all that cold. But she's friendly anyway. Or, as friendly as you can be when you're going through withdrawal.

"Hey there."

Unfortunately for April, Alison recognizes her -- only vaugely, not enough to place the name or anything, but enough to know she's one of Roger and Maureen's friends.

And because of how this night has gone so far, she can't stop herself from snapping, "If you're planning on insulting me too, can we get it over with? I have more bastards to deal with, I'm sure."

April pulls into herself some - everything is sort of raw right now and being snapped at by someone she doesn't know isn't helping much. April doesn't recognize Ali, but figures, after a moment's though, who she must be.

"I wasn't going to." she mumbles. "But if you'd like me to you'll have to come back later - I'm not exactly up for it right now."

Ali doesn't know quite what's wrong with her, but there's obvious something is.

She's not the type of person to interfer, however.

"Thank you, then," she says, with a stiff nod, and leans against a railing with her arms crossed over her chest, not looking quite open to conversation.
