The intent is to send a message to Jaenelle only, but since she's still learning, she accidentally sends the message below to all Blood. Whether or not they "hear" the message is up to them, but there was no filtering on Hermione's part.

"Jaenelle, I've thought about what we discussed and after seeing what it does to you when you helped Nerdanel, ( Read more... )

*recognises immediately that the message was unfiltered and flinches, and this may actually be good for Hermione, because Jaenelle is now too busy preparing herself for the onslaught of male relatives to get indignant about someone making that sort of decision for her*

*and look who's the first to turn up (Though we're sure it isn't by much)*

What was that, Cat?

*musters up a tart reply* None of your business. That was supposed to be private.

Well, it wasn't. And it concerns your health. Therefore it is my business. Now, will you tell me, or will I find a lake to dump you in? *and is taking in just how weary she looks - it isn't the worst he's seen her, but if she ever let it get to that point again.....*

*overhears as well, and wise for once, decides not to come between Jaenelle and her male relatives*

*goes to find Hermione instead*

I heard that. What happened?

She's rather confused that -Armand- heard her comment, as she thought she filtered it, and as a result is blushing rather profusely as she realises her mistake... It takes her a while to respond, but she does... eventually. Being -very- careful to actually send it to Armand specifically.

"I asked for Jaenelle's help with Nerdanel's memory loss, and she neglected to tell me it would take so much out of her when she agreed to help."

*deep breath before he tries to answer*

I think everyone heard you. So Jaenelle is probably now dealing with her male relatives and the First Circle members who've known her longest. I hope she forgives you.

And as for the rest, I only ask because Nerdanel is family, and I don't ask details because those are hers to share, but did whatever help Jaenelle gave her seem to work?

Defaulting to her usual snippish tone when she wants to hide her embarrassment, she replies back after pausing for a good long while.

"I don't really know, as I didn't think it to be my business. So perhaps you are better off asking your mother?"

*overheards and goes to find Jaenelle though he's much relieved to see her looking much better than he expected*

Witch child, when will you learn to take care of yourself?

*winces slightly when feels him approach, but gives him as unworried a smile as she can manage when she turns to him, thankful for Karla's help*

I always take care of myself, Papa.

*frowns*

Please don't lie. Sometimes none of us take care of ourselves, but dear girl, you use yourself too harshly to take care of others.

And a message back on a White thread...to Hermione, not Jaenelle, but once again, if people are listening in...

Hermione, you woke me up. Can you learn how to not broadcast on all frequencies? And what did you have Jaenelle do?

And here's proof that how you say things make a world of difference... Hermione hears Alistair's comment, and now properly shamed for her mistake, she replies back, taking great care to direct the thread to Alistair -specifically-.

... I'm -so- sorry, Allie. I honestly didn't realise... I thought I -had- put it on a narrow thread... I'm very sorry if I woke you! She even -sounds- upset! I asked for Jaenelle's help with Lady Nerdanel's memory loss, that's all. She just... didn't tell me how much it would take out of her.

I know it was an accident. Don't beat yourself up over it. Chalk it up to learning?

Hermione, Jaenelle never tells people that. She helps people out without regard for herself. That's just the way she is. You didn't know.
