*and here we have another note on the messageboard; surely it's getting quite crowded. But, in Mina's neat handwriting, there is a sheet of paper saying the following* For the safety of all the mortals here, I would be much obliged if all the vampires here would sign this paper and, if they wish, leave a note about whether or not they feed from

*he does however, leave a private note to Mina, most pointedly not pinned to the community messageboard, but left in a place she will see it*
Miss Harker,
I commend your initiative, but I'm not sure precisely what you believe will be achieved by your action. Besides the persecution of those trusting enough to leave their names and intentions, of course.

Marius,
I assure you, I do not intend to persecute those who leave their names here. I only wish to know, because I do believe it is a good thing for me to know who here is a vampire. While there are those such as yourself who intelligent and thoughtful and who I would wish more to speak to than to fear, as there are criminals among humans I know that there are such among vampires, and vampires can do far more harm than mortals. It is merely useful knowledge.

I'm sure this is something that is difficult for you to fully comprehend, Mr. Romanus, given your position, but we mortals are completely vulnerable to vampires. Against those who are repelled by crosses and garlic we have at least some defense, but even then vampires can take control of our minds and force is to take such things away. And to your kind we are as defenseless as a deer in the forest is to the hunter, and we cannot run so fast. Because of a slight thirst a vampire could easily enter my, or anyone else's bedroom, make it so that I cannot fight or scream, and sink their teeth into my neck. Or, even worse, they could sink their teeth into my neck and then pull their shirt open before opening a vein in their chest and pressing my head down upon the open wound, forcing me to drink or suffocate, making me their slave for all eternity. Surely you must know ( ... )

Andre LeBrel - I will only drink from those who consent. I am bound by what I am.
*and a note to the side*
Good luck, mlle Harker. Though I fear this may be futile, as I doubt those who you need fear will spare the time to sign, though I believe the rest of us could name them if you desire.

Thank you very much, and I find your decision to feed only from those who consent quite admirable. I understand that this effort may be useless, but it was worth an attempt. I would be very grateful for any information you could give me.

I will gladly assist you in any way you desire. First, though, I think we should first see which of my kind are honest enough to sign. Then, feel free to seek me out to complete the list.

This will get you no where, quickly, Madame and only serve to anger and offend those whom you really should not.

Truly, I mean no offense. And if this note angers someone, then I do believe that there are the type of person who I would end up angering at some point. Thank you very much for the warning, though.

And here I thought I'd seen about every dreadful thing in the world. *small, slightly rueful smile*
Are there any....precautions you feel we should take, Miss Harker?
