She moves outside, and toward the gazebo in the distance. Once she has arrived, she sits down, a volume of lore in her lap as she awaits the arrival of Elrond.

I don't think our mutual promises when we wed should play a role here... do you? Neither of us know at this point what the future may or may not hold for us, but... I really do not think it is right for us to go on pretending that our original vows still hold.
