Chocolate!

Apr 02, 2005 13:13

Ooh my. My typist has just introduced me to all sorts of modern chocolates she has from Easter. I apologize, Philippe, but I fear I am going to become quite fat. There are so many different types! And other candies as well! There are strange things supposedly shaped like chickens, but I don't see it-- I believe she called them 'Peeps.' What sorts ( Read more... )

Nothing interesting, I can tell you that. Muggle sweets are the biggest waste of money ever.

Oh, you've found something more exciting, then?

If by Muggle, you refer to human, I would agree. Not being particularly fond of sweet things myself, most sweets are rather dull and a waste of time. Chocolate, however, is one delicacy I rather enjoy.

Peeps, definately (but I prefer the Halloween [or Samhain, as my typist says] ones}. And Hershey bars and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are good. Oh yes, Ghiherdelli dark chocolate (which I fear she doesn't get that often, but she tends to get it by the pound when she does). It's actually very addictive.

Then there is the variations on "Coke" that she's had me try (my personal favorite being the chocolate kind that she got at a resturant not too long ago), burgers, and pizza.

Yes, she's a bad influence on me.

Macaroni and cheese, specifically that of the white cheddar variety, with...of all things...honey mustard mixed into it. It sounds disgusting even know, and it looked disgusting the first time I watched her make it (she says she didn't add enough milk), but it actually tasted...well...I'm not sure I would honestly call it "good." It was passable and frighteningly addictive.

These things called "mallomars". Round graham crackers with a bit of marshmallow dipped enrobed in dark chocolate.

It's quite disgusting to watch her eat them, but they are delectable, I'll give her that much.

I'm afraid that I can't add anything to this discussion. My own typist eats well, sparingly and intelligently. The only unhealthy thing she eats with any regularity is a certain type of chocolate and hazelnut candy.

Even when she snacks in the middle of the day, it is always dried fruit or nuts... It's uncanny, compared to most everyone else.

My irritating, fastidious secretary is the same. On the rare occasions she indulges, it is generally on strawberries.

What boring typists the pair of you have! I shall smuggle you some sweets next time mine gives them to me.

Yes, please! I do not eat things which come from the land, madame.
