Here's a Thought.

Mar 31, 2005 15:16

My typist just two days ago went mountain-walking, which I've been thinking over.

Who else has ever been up on top of the world, so to speak? Being drunk doesn't count, really. I don't suppose it should, at any rate. *grins* R.

And what did you used to do for a day out? 'Chetta and Joly and I often picnicked to put it nicely, and on the rare ( Read more... )

On top of the world? Not yet, I'm afraid.
But on my days out... I tend to spend them in bed. I don't get to spend long days in bed anymore, school doesn't let you have that, and neither do noisy roomates. So if I get a chance, I sleep until two in the afternoon and then read under the covers. It may sound boring, but when you attend Hogwarts, the occasional boring day becomes relaxing.

I haven't been on top of the world, either, but when I had days out, I usually was with the gang. Playing football, going to the movies, you know, that stuff.

Do you know, you may be the first really sane two to have replied to my query? Jehan's is pretty, but mad in his own way, and M. Cauthon's, while excellent, isn't entirely there--but you and Mam'selle Granger have added a surprising bit of normalacy. And I mean it in a good way, amis.

On top of the world? Erm. I prefer not to have anything to do with that place. Or the place underneath the world, either. *grimaces*

In my spare time, I threaten plants, drive my car at break-neck speeds, and torment/tempt humans.

*laughs* Understood, sir. I wouldn't want to have anything to do with it, either.

Do you really? Can you come over and threaten Joly's into submission? They're trying to overtake the apartment, because the dear fellow's so concerned for their well-being that in between bounts of acute influenza he waters them eight times daily.

Imagine being summoned often by the people down there, though. *looks at his radio suspiciously*

I usually hiss at them, and ... well, they cower in fear. It sounds like great fun - I will have to stop by sometime.

H'm. And this time of year, I doubt you really want to take your holiday anywhere warm.

It sounds splendid! My invitation stands quite always.

Top of the world? Would going to the top of Mt. Mihara count?

I haven't had a day out...in over 40 years since I was pushed down the well, but I do remember traveling with Okaa-san and Otou-san as a child. And of course acting with the troupe before going to stay at the sanatorium in South Hakone with Otou-san why did they have to put a WELL there?!

I don't know. Where is this mad mountain place with the name unpronouncable?

Pity, that. You need to get out of the well more, my petit one. Try a belltower. Sort of the opposite.

Japan.

I would if I could but that is the consequence of being stuffed down a well. Maybe next time I have to go claim someone in Tokyo, I'll go to Tokyo tower....

Huh.

Pity. Worth a try, I suppose.

I'd like to be on top of the world.

I fear I've spent fifteen years as a pet, so my 'days out' have been restricted in that sense. The family holiday to Egypt was nice. When they found out I was human I had to run to Albania to seek out my former leader.

I now am on the lam and thus am even more restricted in my activity have even more pressing limits on my free time.

I do like to think back to the days of Mssrs. Padfoot, Prongs, Moony, and *sigh* Wormtail. We had such carefree childhoods. I miss it.

Will MWP ever run under the full moon again?

My dear sir, you seem to be waxing pathetic quite lost in reminiscence. You have my great hopes that this business of being on the lam can be ratified at some point. Gaols are so damp, I'm afraid; very bad for the health. Alas!

[outofcharacter]Oh, you so do not want to know. *g* The comments and replies of my own journal couple with three socks, a community, and a reccing page. I need to stop this.[/outofcharacter]

But of course. *laughs pleasantly* I should never wish anything else upon anyone.

An eagle in name only, I fear. A bald eagle.
