Here's a Thought.

Mar 31, 2005 15:16

My typist just two days ago went mountain-walking, which I've been thinking over.

Who else has ever been up on top of the world, so to speak? Being drunk doesn't count, really. I don't suppose it should, at any rate. *grins* R.

And what did you used to do for a day out? 'Chetta and Joly and I often picnicked to put it nicely, and on the rare ( Read more... )

I must say, I've never actually been to the mountains, but I've been on top of the world plenty of times. *beams*

As for the second question...stalk spend time with Cosette, of course! What else is there? If you please, 'Rac, NO COMMENTS.

So. Confused. *headdesks*

T: *silently waves a 'Rac/Marius OTP flag* ...Come on, I couldn't resist.

Oh, I'm sure you have, my boy, I'm sure you have. *hair-ruffle*

*bursts out laughing* Oh, mon ami, mon ami! I hope you don't do that now that you're married to her! It's fine when she's your ladylove, but when your wife, they start to call it "controlling" and don't like it any longer. Comment, 'Feyrac!

[outofcharacter]Well, yes, of course. *g*[/outofcharacter]

*continues beaming innocently*

But I do! It's utterly impossible to be out of sight of my darling wife. The only reason I do so is to work in my study, and even that is utter torture, dear Eagle. Controlling?! Bah! *laughs* Cosette may do whatever she wishes.

T: *splorfles and ruffles Marius' hair*

Oh, my boy-- *succumbs* *more ruffling of the hair!*

Well, it's good to know that marriage is bliss for some. I am sure 'Chetta and Joly and I would feel far too tied down. *wink*

[outofcharacter]Dear me, he's so good for that. *joins*[/outofcharacter]

My typist seems to enjoy travelling the world and reading... when she's not dreadfully nervous about a test or something. I'm not really sure why she is... I carefully picked her so I should think that would say something... But perhaps not?

Travelling and reading! What sensible occupations! But is that a compliment, asketh the fellow who can't be sensible

Well, look at Captain Emo over there. We don't all get on with our typists. *grins*

*pouts* Why doesn't drinkig count? It certainly felt like I was on top of the world. Plenty of times.

As for free time...Drink! Drink, drink, play dominoes, drink more, nap, then have a wake-up drink. Yes. Exciting life I had, I must say.

Drinkig? Are you drunk now, my R? It's too easy, mon ami. What about your recently discovered happiness with our Fearless Leader? That's acceptable. *raises eyebrows*

Huh. Dare I say it, R, you may need to find something to do with yourself. I love having you sprawled unconscious in the corner, but heavens! I ejaculate. This can hardly be good for you. *grins* Not that I suppose you're too worried about that, but Fearless Leader may not appreciate it. Obviously

When am I not drunk? Actually, I blame the fangirl. Idiot that she is, making me share space with PONTMERCY, of all people. I was going to say that, actually, but considered the extreme cheesiness of it. Don't want to turn into a certain Baron, now do I? *cough* Yes,Iwasontopoftheworld *cough*

How can it be bad for me? We're dead, after all. *smirks* Far be it for me to say this, dear Eagle, but I think you've spent too much time with Joly. Jules? I... *wibbles* I'm not sure, actually.

True. --Aha. Now I see it all. *grins* Oh, yes. Of course not, of course not. I'm so very glad to hear that, my dear R.

I must recognise the logic of this, I'm afraid, as much as logic is my enemy. Perhaps Joly is having a bad influence on me. Well, do find out. We don't want another Saga of Christian Caron on our hands, now do we?

Day out? It's been years since I've had a day out. I've always had too much work to be able to thiunk about things like that.

In my free time (which I have an abundance of, thank you), I usually drink, drink, get into beer brawls, seduce young women, prowl the streets, murder people I don't like, and drink. And occasionally I write obscene words in the margins of Henry's dictionary

I knew I didn't put those there! Hyde!

[Depuppets]Obscene words in the dictionary a reference to this, one of my favorite J&H fics.[Repuppets]

My poor dear man, put your work aside! One must get out a bit and frolic or the pressure and the lack of enjoyable moments can cause repression and subsequent nasty experiments that go horribly wrong.

As for you, Mr. Hyde, apart from the murdering, your ideas of pleasure sound quite appealing. If only I could spell. *rueful grin*

[outofcharacter]I'm not the only one who writes J&H bookfic? I'm speechless.[/outofcharacter]

I would love to take walks in the countryside. I'd find a nice patch of grass, or a meadow, and lay in it, and stare around me. It was utterly lovely.

Taking walks with friends was also very enjoyable, but I never did that as much. I sincerely regret it now.

Oh, my dearest poete. *laughs and claps the Jehan's shoulder fondly* I'm sure you did. Why did you never tell me that?

Alas, I'd have offered to come along on more walks if I hadn't been so afraid of bringing down disasters on your head.

jehan_prouvaire March 31 2005, 20:32:56 UTC
Well...I suppose I expected to get laughed at. It's rather a -- rather the sort of thing that invites mockery. *blush*

I would have liked you to, anyway; even if it means disasters for me. It's always you that gets the brunt of the disaster, anyway, and I could be there to help. :)

eagle_of_words March 31 2005, 20:38:33 UTC
Jehan. That was meant to be a kind laugh, petit. I'm sure I didn't mean to mock you. I only mock myself.

What a kind thing you are, poete. Perhaps sometime now we might go out together. I hear they have such a thing as a "Coffeehouse Poetry Reading" nowadays. As long as I could get something to drink... *entices*
