Thus, I am not sure of the effect they caused or how they did so, but I do know they caused a great deal of unhappiness and pain especially for my dear Mr. Kennedy. Consequently, I am seeking more informantion about these things from those who seem to know of them. It seems the...ahem

Dementors are the former guards of the wizarding prison Azkaban. They are not truly living beings, and they feed on a person's memories and whatnots. In essence, a wizard that is near them is forced to relive his (or her!) worst memories time and again, and prolongued exposure will rob a magical person of his or her abilities

It is indeed frustrating that it seems there is so little I can do, not being the wizarding type. Perhaps others of your...kind would be able to find some occupation for me so that I may indeed lend my assistance.

They seem to be suspiciously quiet at this point. Let us hope they have merely disappeared and are not planning anything.
