Question for all the music apreciative

I am curious as to what everyone here thinks of "modern" music?

I am having some problem with one of my headmates who currently has an addiction to Rammstein and her favourite song, Dalai Lama, is one about a plane crash (though I do have to agree slightly with her assement that her second favourite, Reise Reise almost fits with the fanfic it has ( Read more... )

Modern music, hmm? My typist tends to favour classic rock and show tunes, so I can't say much about modern music. Though I do think most of it's alright. I'm leaning towards the 'alternative' style of rock, I believe it's called. They generally have songs I can appreciate nicely, even through a drunken haze.
