Greetings, everyone. I am Queen Gertrude of Denmark. I... had heard my son was here. My lord Hamlet, your father and I wish you to return to Denmark and resume your duties as heir to the throne. And besides, I really miss you... Please come home?

not to mention the whole "so full of artless jealousy is guilt ... it spills itself in fearing to be spilt ..." aside when you refused to speak with her. why did ophelia make you feel so guilty? and how did you know her death in so much detail? for god's sake, you knew what flowers she was picking!

*looks around, realizes she's a typist*

*... hides behind the arras*

*pauses* Mother?

*takes her hands and kisses the side of her lips* Mother! *smiles despite himself* You have come, and you are well, and-- *kisses her again* Oh, for all the means I have to hate, I- I rejoice to see this face!

My-- my father, madam? Nay-- nay, not so. My father hath but one demand of me, and you... you would care not for such. Your husband, the King, may call me back, but I have ties enough to bind me here.

Heaven above. What next, my Uncle?

(kisses him in return) I have arrived well, yes. What ties bind you here that prevent you from coming home to your mother?

Ties of strength so great I have not leave enough to break them. A new life, Mother-- away from Denmark, land of mine that she is-- wherein I have companionship, of friends and- *falters* and more.

*kisses her forehead* Surely you miss me not as fervently as this, dear woman, not with your attentions held by husband, kindgom, and all those should entail.
