*Glows brighter and brighter in surprise* Do you have Sis with you?

*equally surprised*

Indeed, I do have your... sister?... with me. She is always with me on my journeys, which is more or less the point, you know...

So, are you the Fire or the Water one?

Umm... Water.

Water! Most excellent! I am very fond of the sea, you see. Which you probably gathered from my name already but I still felt I should say it. For having something to talk about. Small-talk-like.

Oh my. I'm babbling, aren't I? You must forgive me, I have never as yet spoken with a jewel before unless I was very drunk. Your sister has never yet spoken with me.

[typist]*SQUEAL* *GLOMP* [/typist]

*looks at typist in horror* I am SO sorry about that! I really don't know what just happened. *bows* It is an honour to meet you, Lord Eärendil. Welcome to our community. I do believe we have some of your ancestors here as well: Lord Feänor is here, as are some of your... offspring.

Whoa!

Thank you, young lady. And you are...?

Is that so? Well, that might turn out... interesting.

I'm clearly not thinking up to my usual standard...

My apologies, Lord Eärendil... I am Hermione Granger. Your story has always been one of my favourites, even as a young witch.

Then thank you again, Lady Hermione. I am glad to hear you like my tale.
Don't call me lord, though. Makes me feel uncomfortable. Eärendil will suffice, I think. Captain, if you insist on formalities, but Eärendil does well enough.

*clears throat*
I think you may have something that belongs to me.

*hand lies on katana like, totally innocent*

And you are...?

*dawning understanding*

Oh. Oh. Indeed.
Now, um. Well, my lord. I think it has been decided that your right to it... her... them... is no longer valid.

Has it, now.

I happen to disagree.

*hand grips katana like, not so innocent anymore*

Hi!!! I'm Luciana!!!!!!

Your name is funny!!!!!! Almost as bad as Fenchurch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

captainearendil May 15 2005, 16:18:47 UTC
Um... hello.

Do you think so? It is a rather ordinary name, I think. But your own name is slightly unfortunate, is it not? Luciäna. "Towards trespass". What were your parents thinking?

What!!!!!!!!!! My name means "illumination" or "light" in Italian because I really do light up a room with my charm!!! You're stupid!!!!!!!!! Honestly!!!!!!!!

captainearendil May 15 2005, 19:55:58 UTC
Hm. I know some things about light, but very few of them seem to fit you. Say, do you have to shout like this? My hearing is quite good, and I prefer it to stay that way.

Apologies about misreading your name, though. In the language whence my name comes it would have meant "towards temptation", hence the error.

Welcome. If you haven't already, you'll soon discover it's quite mad here.

Yes. Yes, I noticed.
