As long as you don't try to use me for dressage, the pleasure is reciprocated in full!

Hallo, there, captain! I'm sure you're not boring at all. You were in the army! I'm sure you've a story to tell. My name is Kitty Butler. Nice to meet you.

Thank you, Miss Butler. I suppose I do know a story or two, but most of them aren't the sort of thing you really want to hear, or tell. And I'm afraid that, aside from the War, I've led a very uneventful -

*brightens* Unless you like fox-hunting?

I've lived in cities all my life and never been, but from what I've heard, it's most exciting.

*nods* It's the skill, in part. There's little as pleasant as working with people who know what they're doing.

Personally, being a country lad, I quite like to visit cities. They're beautiful to look at, and to watch all the people bustling about you is exciting and different. There's an energy to them that's very different from the country...

But I'm rambling. Sorry!

*returns friendly with friendlier, and grins, too, being very fond of smiling generally*

All right, Monsieur. But if he should ever want me, Monsieur need only ask.

*hesitates--would like to start a conversation, but is concerned about the propriety*

Oh, it is lovely to make your acquaintance, M. Sherston! I'm Jehan Prouvaire; Jehan is fine. :) <-- it's a smiling face!

Oh, I know what you mean by "relief" when it comes to wars, and fighting. It's really a pity that so many of us have experienced the horrors of fighting. I am glad that you have been relieved of that time in your life..and I do hope you will enjoy it here. :)

Siegfried Sassoon?! OMGOMG!! OMG! <333 :D

Pleased to meet you Mr. Prouvaire... Jehan, I mean. *shy, easy smile*

It's the stupidest and most wasteful endeavor I can think of, war. Near as I can tell, only a dirty swindle and a crime. So, yes, I'm glad it's over, and I do think I will enjoy myself here. Thank you.

Typist: He's wonderful, isn't he? :D
