*snorts softly* A soul. I don't think so. Life tortured me enough. I don't need a soul to go along with it. Though I must say... things have begun to look up. Mark is an amazing husband, and he makes me happier than I have ever been before. And yes... he sees past the *winces slightly* physical defects. He... he calls me beautiful, Nessa. Me. He honestly thinks I'm beautiful. No one has ever done that before. Oh Nessa, he loves me. Me. Can you believe it?

I suppose you're right. I still can't believe Glinda gave them away so readily....though I suppose that for all her charm and good intentions, she always lacked in common sense.

Yes, I can believe it. You are a brilliant, unique individual and I always knew you'd find some man to love you someday. And you're prettier than you think--I always said you were, didn't I, especially if you'd just do something nice with your hair every once in awhile. You do have such lovely hair.
