Oh! Hello...good day, everyone. *looks around at this big cavernous corner of the web* My name is Nessarose Thropp, though you might know me as the Eminent Thropp or the Eminence of the East. (*cough*or the Wicked Witch of the East*hem*) The typist I've hired to reintroduce me to society after my unfortunate disappearance has brought me to this

How have you been, darling sister? I was heartbroken at the news of your death. But you aren't dead! Oh... I'm so glad!
Nessa I... I got married. A few weeks ago. You'll love him, I'm sure. I can't wait for the two of you to meet.

But you're dead! *blinks* Well that's a phenomenon. Clearly the Unnamed God thought you worthy of spending your immortal life here with the rest of us. I choose to interpret this as evidence you do have a soul, dear sister, as much as you might enjoy denying it.
I'm so glad to hear you've finally found a beau! Though I suppose you could have been romancing men all along, and knowing you and your secrecy, you wouldn't have told your poor gossip-deprived sister a bit of it. But anyhow, it's terribly reassuring to know that there are at least some men out there who can see past physical defects. And of course I don't mean that in an offensive way, darling, you know I know how it is, too. You know I still haven't been able to find a love of my own yet...and I'm certain that's at least partially due to my incapacitation.
But enough of that. I am so very excited to meet your new ( ... )

*snorts softly* A soul. I don't think so. Life tortured me enough. I don't need a soul to go along with it. Though I must say... things have begun to look up. Mark is an amazing husband, and he makes me happier than I have ever been before. And yes... he sees past the *winces slightly* physical defects. He... he calls me beautiful, Nessa. Me. He honestly thinks I'm beautiful. No one has ever done that before. Oh Nessa, he loves me. Me. Can you believe it?
And don't worry *squeezes Nessa's shoulder gently* You'll find someone. Someone who will love you the way you should be loved. If I can find someone, you certainly can. You've always been the prettier, more-liked one of the two of us.

Yes, I can believe it. You are a brilliant, unique individual and I always knew you'd find some man to love you someday. And you're prettier than you think--I always said you were, didn't I, especially if you'd just do something nice with your hair every once in awhile. You do have such lovely hair. In any case, I like your husband already, judging by the way he treats you.
Thank you, Elphie. I certainly hope so. But don't say that, about comparing the two of us--you know that was just father's attempt at making me feel better for being born unable to walk. He coddled me out of guilt, I'm sure. You never needed that, though...you were strong enough on your own.

Now where are you from? I can't say I'm acquainted with your sort of accent. But I am, after all, quite unfamiliar with any worlds beyond my own. You're not from Oz, are you? Unless you're perhaps of a distant Gillikinese ancestry....

I am from France. Paris, specifically. I fear I don't know where Oz is, but I was always dismal at geography.

I do so like meeting people of such diverse backgrounds. *warm smile*
