Greetings. I am Alan Campbell, a chemist and former dabbler in music, though I do not practice any longer. I am from the novel Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and I note with distaste that the title character appears to be here as well. I'm sure otherwise this place will prove interesting

You know I do not forget the past so easily as you do. Likewise, no, I have not forgotten the 'fun' we had; rather, it was so long ago I no longer consider it to be of any consequence.

Oh, Alan, you must call me "Dorian." We are not strangers, and I simply won't have one of my dearest friends calling me "Gray" so stuffily.

Good God, Alan! What has happened to our relationship? Who knew you could be so cold and heartless? It is really a pity that I still am so fond of you; I couldn't possibly bring myself to say anything so harsh back to you. Why not at least attempt to be civil?

A friend that would resort to blackmail and m-- is no friend of mine. If that is what you wish, Gray, then fine. I will attempt to be civil. I cannot guaruntee success.

Huh. What do you think of bad-tempered dialogues and complaining about things? What do you think about other people being in love?

I think bad-tempered dialogues are best kept to oneself, and love is nothing more than physical attraction-- a base, animal instinct.

Well, I'll partly like you, then. And I'll complain about you when you're not around, and probably when you are.

I do not play any longer. My studies take up far too much time to leave any room for frivolous things such as violin or piano.

Oh, hello, sir! I have never met you being dead does so hinder introductions but we appear to have...an acquaintence in common.
