It's been a few weeks since Moriarty has been up and about among his fellow Mansion residents. As it happens, today finds him cheerfully wandering around the library, flipping through seemingly random books at an alarming pace. If asked, he would respond that he is attempting to find possible explanation for the divergence between his own history

Another man is in the library, but not reading. Paul is sporting a split lip and a large bruise on one of his cheeks, and trying to read something about the budding South-African wine exploitations in the 18th century. It's not working at all.

"She seemed too comfortable with it to my taste."

"Hmmm. Perhaps he has some sort of...mental sway over her."

"It is a documented fact that vampires have the ability to make thralls."

"Is there any way to break this hold without harming her?"

"I can't honestly say," he replies, thoughtfully. "Have you ever read Bram Stoker?"

"The theatre critic? I have read some of his short stories."

[only_paul]

"Yes, that one. He wrote a gothic novel on the matter of vampires, which I suppose you could find at the library."
