He knew very well he should not have taken a walk this evening, walks here always tend to make a mess when everything seems to be going so well, and everything was going so well. As it is he can only stare at him and cannot bring himself to move, the regret and disdain evident in his eyes.
Finally he brings himself to whisper the name that he has for so long forced himself to forget. "Louis..."

Soon, she will go to Melisande. Hopefully this time, the traitor's actions will come to an end. Her lover is not in her room, this night - and from her balcony overlooking the lake, she daydreams.
She does not have night vision, but movements catch her eyes, and she observes, squinting. She has never seen nightly creatures out before.

He is aware of Phedre above him, but politely doesn't look. He isn't one to spy on mortals, nor show his preternatural senses. Often, he wishes they weren't there at all.

She has been warned many a time of nightly creatures, but she also knows that Kushiel will ever protect her. And so without arrogance (or maybe just a little) she ventures out, wrapped in her dressing gown.

"Eru," she murmurs to herself. "I wonder where you are, old friend."
Her hand moves to a delicate ring on her finger, caressing it without an after thought, as her dreams are cast into the night.

"Pandora." Louis' voice is soft, polite, and almost apologetic. He can tell he's caught her in a private moment.

A moment gone, Lestat gave her a message for him, and now she wonders, is it still relevant, so long ago it was? Yet she will deliver it, if she feels it is pertinent, still.
Her manners are quiet, serene. Something in her, that was dark and broody, has lifted.
