Here's a silly worried Elf for you, Hargbard. She's sitting on the porch, despite the February chill, and looking at this rather curiously.

"Hm, I see you've done better this time." With that polluting monstrosity of yours. "Welcome back, Edain."

And a Hagbard who will mercilessly mock her, given the opening. "I'll have you know lady," he means that in the rude sense, rather than the polite one, "that I do exactly as well as I mean to every time."

"And that includes the fault for which you are trying to atone, does it?" She asks, point blank.

[tanstagi]

"Atonement for unforeseeable consequences is absurd." Hagbard is an absurd man, and he'll admit that fact at some later point. "And I did exactly as well as I meant to do then."

"Bringing back bribes, I see, old fool," Merlin says from his seat. "Feeling guilty, are we?"

He's not quite smirking.

"Me? Never. These aren't bribes, these are supplies! If anything, I'm taking far more responsibility than this place than I ought to; I doubt any of these vampires and nobles know the first thing about growing food."

"Vampires would probably have little desire to grow any food, Hagbard," Merlin points out with an amused smirk. "And it's not only food I see here."

"They wouldn't have any desire to grow food the way we do." Hagbard grins, shocked that the greatest wizard of common legend had no idea what vampires do. "And I only said it to explain to a rational man. You need reasons, and I brought those, too." Grin!

Niko's never met Hargbard - he arrived after the plothole left. But if he could be supplied with homeopathic medications, some organic teas and juices, and bottled water, he'd be in heaven.

Hagbard quite sadly did not bring any bottled water; he was active at least a decade before anyone considered water bottles necessary. He's got plenty of cures for all your Toxins, Miasmas, and Serious Medical Conditions, and he wouldn't have dared come back without teas. They're over there. You know. That general area.

Niko shuffles through, and does pick out some useful things, before he looks at the man curiously.

"Where d'you get all this stuff, anyway?"

"Oh, here and there," Hagbard says coyly. "Though, none of it here. I was out there. So really, There and There."

Phedre would be immeasurably grateful if she could have some new dresses. Zara's confections, for being sported over and over again, are starting to look pretty worn out.

She's quite in luck; he did bring a small cloth goods collection, which contains more sundresses than proper gowns and their species, but there are some of most items!

Phedre does notice something long enough, though and holds it against her body. "Do you think it will suit me, Sir?" She's almost giddy with the shopping.

If Hagbard has some basic medical supplies, Belize would gladly replenish his|her stock of aspirin, painkillers, sleeping pills, bandages etc.

There are those, too. They're in the same crate as the homeopathic medicines, though clearly separated from them. Painkillers and sleeping pills, and there may be a few more illicit "treatments" mixed in with both as well. If you're in search of that sort of thing.

Belize is quite pleased with what s|he finds, and does take advantage, even including in his|her loot some pot, because you never know when that can be handy.

Hagbard's got more of that, of course, and some trippier things, if Belize ever needs that sort of thing. Hagbard does not miss a lot; he has to notice things in his line of work, and he's not missing an ounce of this situation. He throws hir a tiny wink.
