Donleavy is pacing back and forth in the lobby, looking furious. A few of her books and papers have gone missing, and---while she's extremely unlikely to need them soon---she is still greatly upset.

She's also not looking where she's going, which means you might run into her if you're not careful...

No-one is more distracted than Pascal, and even more so now that his boyfriend seems to have (again!) vanished. He's nervous and confused, and... yes, bumping straight into Donleavy.

"My apologies, Madame."

[patriciamydear]

"Really!" she replies indignantly, picking herself up with exaggerated care.

Once she is on her own two feet again, she fixes her steely gaze in Pascal's direction.

"Might I inquire, sir, as to why you neglected to notice me?"

"I am most sorry for your inconvenience, Madame," Pascal says contritely. "I have lost a dear friend and patient, and was looking for him, is all."

[patriciamydear]

"It is no bother," she replies quickly.

"You are a doctor, then?"

Donleavy's always had a certain respect for doctors, much to her chagrin. Maybe it comes from her recent troubles, not to mention dealing with her mother's medical problems. It might even come from having A Study in Scarlet read to her when she was six. In any event, she'll at least make an effort to be polite.

She might come across a peculiar figure, shrouded in a mendican't cloak, crouching in front of a door.

T: Steerpike, who recently returned in his evil glory. And he has an agenda!

"And what might you be doing here?"

OOC: I (not to mention Donleavy) heartily approve of both evilness and agendas!

He looks up, startles, and tries to gather himself. "Nothing at all, Madam, nothing at all."

Don't worry, Patty, he'll be slipping in a minute.

Ooc: Oh, good! He (and his typist) certainly wouldn't mind some help hatching an evil assassination plan.

"I sincerely doubt that..."

Well, here's a Fae, stepping quickly out of her way, a little less ticked off than he's been lately, but still wary and eyes bluer than blue. "...pardon," carefully.

"Excuse you!" she replies sharply.

And then, because Donleavy isn't a total misanthrope:

"Was I blocking your way, sir?"

I was going somewhere. But no, you weren't, until you stepped into it.

"Until I stepped..." she repeats absently.

"I have been a bit careless as of late. Some of my things have gone missing, and I've been rather distracted as a result."
