Sagramore enters the main room with just a hint of unsteadiness, and finds a good spot by the messageboard where people usually tack up notes and such. Thereunder he stands, and with great dignity and aplomb announces, "We have a solemn quest. A quest which God Himself could not dispute nor all His Angels turn asunder. "How drunk are you?"

Gawain does not approve.

"That is completely unfair. I just felt this would be a quest better... quested if at least half sober."

Oh good God in heaven.

You're getting a look, the pair of you. This is a serious heavy duty look you're getting here. There is a promise of rainbarrels in it.

"That's solemn?" Arm enquires, after a mildly ellipsis-filled pause.

"Well, the looking is."

Arm regards him in mild bemusement, from his seven-foot vantage point. "In my observation," he says, "generally speaking, if they're around, they'll find you."

(Not that he has personal experience, because seven-foot mutant, hi. But.)

"I grant that it is rather far away," Dinadan says (he is rather tall himself, especially for his time period, and is certainly not used to being a foot shorter than someone), "But if you could see my face and its wondrous beauty--" (which is to say lack thereof) "--you would certainly see why I must seek the whores rather than the other way around."

That was, let's say, not the finale Florence was expecting. He is subject to a sudden fit of coughing.

Sagramore bursts out laughing. "Good boy, jo. Don't hurt yourself. You in the market for a quest?"

Gack, wheeze! "No, sir."

"We could use a fine strapping lad like yourself. You'll garner the general attention better than we two old men, as pretty a face as you have."

Wang Mu gives them both a withering look that does not quite bare her teeth. "You might try the marshlands in the woods, sirs," she says.

Sagramore turns an enquiring look upon Dinadan. "I'd think the house was more likely, nem?"

"Well, God knows what they fancy in this heathen place."

Wang Mu may have entirely too much personal experience with people Assuming, which is what comes of being a pretty servant. "The thorns and the ice would do you good," she says sharply.

'I say, Sagramore, old fellow!' Hadley-Bright says, hoping his jovial, worldly chuckle hides the fact that he cannot keep from blushing. 'So bored already?'

"Entirely, can you countenance it?" waving him over.

'Well, at this rate, I'd say you've at least another month of snow left,' he says as he comes over, hoping he's looking less red now (he's not). 'Whatever shall you do?'

"As you can see, I'm diverting my energies. Thank Jesu for the quest." And he kisses Hadley-Bright for punctuation.
