A small young lady opens the door slightly, peering into the room. "Mr. Rochester? You sent for--" She freezes, brown eyes going wide for she does not recognize her surroundings.

"Mr. Rochester?" she whispers, gathering her skirts and stepping in tentatively. "Hello?"

T: So. Jane Eyre. :D

Here, Jane, meet a young Victorian English woman, dressed simply in her period dress, though not poorly. With her is a cute little blond girl, who smiles, and tugs the older girl's hand, in Jane's direction.

"Are you lost, Madam?" It's the little girl. The red-haired young woman is sighing and sulking.

"Please, forgive my child's impertinence," says Sugar, and a Look for Sophie, who's taken too much after Ariana, clearly.

"I'm a governess to a young girl as well," she says slowly, still unsure of what is happening. She looks around again.

"She is my niece." A flawless lie, Jane. She's been practicing it with everyone at the Mansion, and only a few people actually know the truth.

"You've only just arrived?"

Pascal is going to look up from his work, and stand - he's also form the 19th century, but his garments clearly are french, and perhaps a little used since he's been wearing the same clothes every day, though he does take extremely good care of them.

"I'm afraid he may not have followed you here, Mademoiselle." He stands, and bows, very curteously.

He's a tall, handsome, blond young man of about 25, who clearly never wears a hat. His desk (which he's set up in the common room) is a mess. As usual.

"This place is called the Mansion, Mademoiselle. Another dimension outside of time, perhaps. I've not made sense of it yet, but thus far, it is my theory."

Here's something totally different, Jane. An Elf, yes, and one with a limp, and a bad star-shaped star on his cheek. He's not looking happy, but maybe he has his reasons, and he's just sitting by the window, brooding.

He's tall, extremely so, more than an average human, he does have a bit of the pointy ears, though perhaps they are hidden under his pitch black hair. His clothes are emblazoned, but he's not wearing armor. He's convalescing, perhaps, and he may or may not like it.

He'll turn slowly to look at the new arrival, and he'll force a smile, that's probably painful given the bruises and cuts on his face.

"Are you alright, Lady?" Clearly, he likes human woman.

"What is this place?" she gasps, clutching to her skirts as she looks up at him, almost fearfully.

He stands, stiffly - he's clearly not well, and his movements, though graceful even in convalescence, are rigid. He manages to bow, either way.

"The Mansion, is what they say it is, Lady."

Guinevere will stand, and examine the young lady who just arrived - she's young herself, and in her simple, medieval regalia.

"Art lost, lady?"

She blinks a little at her. "I'm afraid I am," Jane says slowly.

"I don't want to be here," Jane says, "I need to get back to Thornfield."

Melou gives her a very shy look. "My lady?"

She takes a deep breath. "Where-- where am I?"

Okay, this is problematic: Melou has been trying to figure out what the secret of being stuck here is, and as far as he can tell you have to be dead. So he glances at the floor awkwardly. "'Tis--my lady, forgive me, 'tis some manner of life after."

"The afterlife?" Jane gasps, her eyes going wide. "But-- but that cannot be possible...!"
