Bandwagon? What bandwagon?

The blow didn't hurt as much as she expected. Maybe it was because she was receiving in the place of her son. Maybe it was because death came quickly, faster than the little droplets of blood staining her silver and white gown were propagating themselves, like an opening rose in the morning.

She closed her eyes on life and her hands on the javelin ( Read more... )

Cleeg is outside sitting on the porch brooding when she appears. And is on his feet on a moment and at her side, because alsdfksdlf what?

"Irisse?" Worried, trying to catch her eyes, checking her vital signs, afraid that maybe she's dead too - and there's more darkness and sorrow than she might remember in his eyes, but keen worry dominates, right now.

Well, she's bleeding all him, or rather, them, but the wounds are closing, by the grace of the Valars.

"Tyelkormo..." her eyes take on another veil of affection, and she goes limp in his arms.

She fainted.

AALSD;YFAL;SKHDLFAHSDLF.

"Irisse!" Panicking a little, and pulling her upward, searching for her wound but suddenly unable to find what's bleeding, and really only succeeding in getting her blood all over himself, which is, you know, not pleasant at all.

She's going to re-open her eyes, slowly, and smile.

"It is only a little blood, Tyelko. I feel no pain."

Fingon is there in two seconds, already moving to help her up. "Sister?" Bewildered, what just happened, but she's here, and sister, and - does that mean she's dead? He hopes not. Sisters shouldn't be dead.

She's not dead - she's alive, and her eyes take on her older brother with a smile.

"Oh, Findekano? Is this the halls of Mandos?"

No, meaning she died. And he stills, because asdlfk that's not okay. "No - no, it is not, but Irisse, why - why would you be in Mandos' realm anyway?" Worried, supporting her, and surreptitiously checking her eyes to be sure she's quite all right.

"Because Turgon told me of your fall, and so if you are here, and I see you...."

And well, that whole javelin thing, too.

The Dark Elf exhales slowly, a not quite sane smile playing on his lips. "My Lady..." he murmurs, staying a safe distance away (for now). "You are well, I hope?"

Typist: 1) Glee :D 2) It was a dart XD The story says both, I think (I don't have Silm handy) but everyone I've spoken to says dart rather than javelin. Minor point, but I'm a picky bastard.

Ack! She'll cower against the wall, and just look at him in disgust.

"Have you died too, that you must pursue me even in my death?"

What does it look like? Jam? No, she's not Angrod, haha.

T: Glad you are happy. Having, er, just been killed by him, you know, it's a bit on the scareddy-side, now. But we'll see.

And yes, dart, javelin, blah. It's all pointy things, and she's dead. My version reads Javelin, which I like because lots of blood. XD I am a mean typist.

"Not dead, no. I live. ... I've missed you, my lady." He takes a few steps forward, resisting the urge to reach out to her. "Still as beautiful as the day you died. You were always so beautiful, my love. I never meant to hurt you -- please believe me when I say that. I would never hurt my beautiful lady."

"But our son, that was another affair, Eol." Yes, accusingly - it's a very fresh memory, one she finds difficult to ward off.

"Irisse!" Here Ar, have another worried male relative running to your side. He kneels beside her and takes her hand, concerned. "It's all right, be calm. Are you hurt?"

She takes a deep breath and musters a smile. "I was, but no longer, cousin." Then, her eyes crease with wonder.

"But this is not Nargothrond...."

"No, it is not. Not Nargothrond, nor Gondolin, nor anywhere else known to us before." He smiles back at her though and moves to help her up. "Your eldest brother is here though, and many more of our kin."

"That is good." She musters a weak smile for him. It's really excellent, considering her murderor-abductor is here too. "I saw Findekano, and Tyelkormo as well. Would all our forefather's children be here, then?"
