Big News deserves a Bowl of Cereal

A loud stomach rumble rang through the kitchen as Bella dug through the refrigerator.  Headaches, back pain. It was like having a never-ending period. Snatching at the milk from inside the door, she put together a bowl of cereal and set it on the table, collapsing into the chair there.

Pascal comes in, smiling a bit sheepishly to himself, looking for coffee. He's running out, but he's thinking he'll find ways if he can't have his fix.

"Good morning," he offers, friendly enough.

"Morning!" Bella replies cheerfully, now that she has food in her stomach and all.

This was a face she was pretty sure she didn't know yet. It was curious that she kept running into them, since she'd been here for so long. And yet, around every corner...

He smiles at her, but keeps looking.

"You haven't any idea where I could find coffee, do you?"

"I believe it's in the cabinet over the stove?"

She'd never been a coffee drinker, but she'd seen people pull it out a few times. Of course, it could be all gone by now.

Steerpike comes in, humming to himself (only god knows why, and starts to prepare some bread for breakfast - he resumed his shift, and oddly doesn't mind too much, when the flashbacks let him be.

This is a good morning, for him.

"Hello!"

Bella watches him pleasantly, a smile on her face, as she finished off the last of the milk in her bowl.

"Oh, hello," he replies, smiling, hands up to his elbows in flour.

He's still befuddled that he can make bread. He doesn't know how he knows... Or rather, he tries not to remember.

He has ISSUES.

"Whatcha doing?" Bella asked, getting up from the table to take her bowl to the sink.

It wasn't hard to figure out from looking, but it was a conversation starter.

"Hello," Luna greets airily, observing a grape longer than she should before popping it into her mouth.

"Hi!" Bella responded with a wave of her hand, her other one still lost in the shoveling of milk around the bowl. There didn't seem to be any cornflakes left.

"I hope you realize you don't have anymore cornflakes." Luna pauses.

"Unless they're invisible cornflakes. But, I've heard those don't taste very good."

"Actually, I don't think they taste much at all," she corrects the girl with a smile.

"That's alright though. I think I've eatten all that I wanted anyway." And Bella stands from the table, taking her bowl to the sink to rinse it out, "There's more in the pantry, if you want some, too.... Visible cereal, that is."

(Wow, it's been a while. < . < > . > Jacobmun = HARDCORE FAIL. But hey, I exist again! Also, sorry this is so short, I'm having trouble getting Jacob to cooperate since reading BD.)

Jacob walks into the kitchen and grins upon sight of Bella. They haven't seen much of each other lately, and he'd missed her.

"Hey, Bells!"

"Jacob!" Glances up at him from the bowl in front of her, and practically jumps out of her chair, bumping the table and (of course) upsetting what was left in her cereal bowl. Not that she cared any.

She runs over to him and throws her arms around him, gushing, "Ohmigosh, you'll never guess."

Grinning, Jacob hugs Bella, squeezing her as tight as he can without breaking any bones.

"Never guess what?" he asks. It's probably not that Edward's turned into a vampire again, because she wouldn't be happy about that, but other than that he has no idea what it could be.

Waving her hands in excitement, Bella tries to keep the words from exploding out of her. She wants Jake to be the next to know after Edward... and Alice, since her visions make it enevitable.

"I'm pregnant!" the moment the words leave her mouth, they are followed by a brilliant smile and a squeal of happiness.

Firekeeper comes padding in cheerfully on two feet and gives Bella a grin. "Bella, it is you!"

"Firekeeper!" Bella practically squeals, struggling to stay in her seat. "How have you been? I haven't seen you around lately."
