Meet another (yes) Elf: tall, red-haired, more than lost. This one finds himself at the edge of the wood as though waking from a deep sleep, or entering a dream. Only once he realises he's standing upright, standing at all, does he stumble, slump against a tree. Unusually, maybe, he catches himself on his forearm, not yet recognizing an extra ( Read more... )

A certain set of Twins, with hair matching Maedhros's, freeze as they come around the side of the tree and see the traumitized Elf. They're silent a moment, they saw how Maglor was when he arrived and they've heard of their nephew's condition from Finrod, they're afraid to make it worse if their eldest brother is in as poor condition, but...brother.

One steps forward, the other hangs back slightly behind his twin's shoulder, a little more uncertain. "...Maitimo?"

He looks at them blankly for a moment, before focus and recognition seem to slide into place. When it does, he does not look surprised to see them -- he isn't. He's dead, they're dead, it all makes sense.

"...Ambarussa." He says it slowly, as though it's been some time since his mouth formed the word. Maybe it has.

"Russandol." They're relieved that he seems in better shape than Maglor or Celebrimbor and smile as they go over to him. "It's good to see you."

Remind me to write-- fic, or something, with Maglor here, he should be extra-traumatised.

"It is?" He's honestly confused by that. 'Happy to see me' isn't exactly in his mental phrasebook anymore. "...And you. Both of you--." He reaches out to touch, lightly, first one -- the first to die -- then the other, most recently lost. He's frank, unhesitant, open, but only because he's still in a weird place from dying.

Finrod's probably walked this path a hundred times in the time he's been at the Mansion, but this is definitely the first time in his walks that he's found a formerly dead cousin leaning against a tree there. He's careful to brush audibly against a branch as he approaches, sneaking up on a trained warrior who may not know where he is never a good idea. "Hello, Nelyo."

He probably wouldn't be startled -- he has nothing left to fear, after all -- but you never do know with crazy undead Elves. If there's any surprise it's a dull one, that someone as generally shiny as Finrod would be found anywhere near him. He turns at the rustling; nods calmly, respectfully. Penitently. "Cousin."

He's not sure whether he should be surprised or not by his cousin's manner, it has been a long time since they last met after all. "Have you just arrived?"

Argon is out for a stroll, because there really isn't anything more interesting for him to do. He's not the most exciting of elves.

He sees his cousin and gives a slight, brief smile. "Well. Hello. You're here, too?"

Typist: Saeros says Daeron and Oropher need to come back. But he's biased :) Also, yay new Argon PB? XD I tried to pick someone who looked like he hated the world a lot.

Well, there's someone we haven't seen in a long time. He looks at Argon curiously; a bit confused by the smile.

"Yes," he says simply, then feels compelled to add: "Only just."

T: asdkjh if I can get you a Daeron, I will! We rly badly need one. And I love his PB! He's adorable and sullen and heeee. ♥

Even emo little elves are allowed to smile now and then. Since coming to this strange place, Argon has learned to more or less accept his cousins being here. That doesn't mean he has to like their father, but he's found that the majority of his cousins are pleasant enough to be around. And anyone, if you can't hide from them (it's hard to, with so many of them), it's sort of pointless to hate them.

Or something.

"More and more of you seem to be arriving lately. There used to be dozens of our kind, but they seem to have dwindled out. Maybe more of them will come back now."

Such a sane approach to things! For Mae's part, if anyone's being remiss in hating him he can more than take up the slack.

He considers this. It sounds a little strange. "Where do they go?"

..... running gag. We know.

She's there, as usual, hanging out. She'll be striding along peacefully, perhaps on the way to or from the forge, but she stops. Another one? Huh.

"Good evening...." curiously.

T: As it's rather likely that Morgoth will take a lot of pleasure re-torturing him, and that Galadriel will not be tender, well... at least this puppet is friendly. Also, I shouldn't be tagging now, it's too early, so I'll be slow as hell.

...Heh. We don't care, they need to talk to people outside their canon.

He looks up, or more likely around and then down, at the voice. Lo and behold, someone he isn't related to. "Good evening, lady." Faintly curious, courteous.

T: Heeee. He says: good luck with that. As for Galadriel, well, his comfort zone is people disliking him. He gets confused when they don't, these days.

"Good evening," she smiles, curtsies. "I suppose you have just arrived..."

She's actually a bit amused, Lydia Pandora. Why? Because it looks like Finrod's family is migrating towards the Mansion at a rabid pace.

He nods back, polite. "Yes, very much so."

Rabid is such a terribly apt word there. Oh, Elves.

Celebrimbor halts nervously on the way back to the mansion from his forge when he sees a figure by a tree, but he hesitantly moves forward when he realizes he recognizes that shade of red hair. Finding random long dead relatives is starting to feel almost normal, should that be worrying? "U...uncle?"

And this is the first relative he didn't know was dead. He gets to about the e in hello -- the relatives themselves are becoming commonplace -- before it registers, and his expression darkens, pained (look! emotion!). "--llo. I did not think to see you here."

He ducks his head a little, trying not to see the pained look. "I did not think to be here, whereever here really is."

"I'm sorry." He looks guilty, and would feel even worse if he knew Cele was misinterpreting him so badly. "I did not-- I thought we would have known."
