Palomides is not a stupid man. In fact, he is quite an intelligent man. Like most intelligent men, though, he has an immeasurably small dose of common sense ( Read more... )

As she hasn't fallen victim to a food-related crackplot yet, Miranda goes happily to see what's in this particular bowl. Once she gets close enough to smell it, though, she backs away, nose wrinkled.

Anita's on her way up to meet Valen - she doesn't have a lot of time, but she pauses at the sight.

"Ok, that's gross, we don't need more blood spilled. Thank you." She looks at the Saracen knight with a frown. Then she adds, "and to put it mildly, what the hell?"

"Shhh. Yours truly is concealed," he says, frowning behind his concealing wallpaper.

She chuckles. "Sorry. I could smell you from far," she says, whispering amusedly - a little, but she's been under a lot of stress lately, so we're sorry if she's ruder than usual. "And any beast or lyco you're trying to pick up will too. Vamps too, for that matter."

She takes a step, smells the blood. Dead blood. Eek.

"Oh? They have those sensory capabilities?" This is admittedly news to him. None of the books he'd read had mentioned it.

Typist: Got to wander off for a little bit now. Just to notify you.

Henry strolls into the room, hands in his pockets, having smelled the blood and a little curious about what this is all about.

He looks at the setup. Looks at the place where Palomides is concealed, looks back at the bowl, throws back his head and just laaaaughs.

... that is not the reaction he was expecting, although his typist admits to no surprise whatsoever. "Really, you could at least pretend not to notice that yours truly is sequestered here. For the look of the thing."

Henry is still grinning, hazel eyes bright and still chuckling a bit. "Oh, well, of course. Mostly it's just the setup, if you know what I mean."

The typist would like to note that Palomides kind of makes her life a little better.

"It is unsubtle. Apologies, of course." Since there appears to be little purpose in pretending that he's still hidden and observing, he inquires, "Might you be a vampire?"

That's what he aims to do!

Typist: Off to run errands; back in a few hours!

She promised herself not to go to the Mansion - but she can't resist it - she wants to see Maharet - she misses her kind.

Yet she stops in the common room, horrified at what she sees. A sneer, of disgust is really her expression.

She pauses, sniffs at the blood, then looks in the general direction of the tapestry. If a 2000 year old vamp can't feel the man behind the very thin protection....

"Silly." She says his way. "And dangerous. I won't have dead blood, and you are lucky I gave up the innocents a long time ago."

We're sorry, Palomides. Just like Henry-darling, she can feel you.

He just has to ask, though-- "Yours truly had been informed that vampires--you are a vampire, are you not?--derived sustenance from blood obtained via plothole. What is this sanguis vitae, if not dead blood?"

Pandora smiles - and she allows it to be a little evil, though she has no real intentions to eat anyone, as she currently owes her life, and hunger for life, to humans. Yet the temptation to toy with Palomides is very tempting.

"But live blood, of course," she replies, her smile very suggestive. "Yours smells wonderful."

T: I suck, so I am replying here when I should have on Anita's post. Sorry. Don't worry about lagginess. S'all cool.

Oh, if I open post for Merlin, will Palomides be interested? I noticed a comment of yours to that affect on the ooc board a while back.

Gulping, "Yours truly is quite certain that the scent has deceived you."

Typist: He might. Depends where Merlin is, what he's doing.
