Her steps are light on the roof of the Mansion.  She landed gently, softly, almost like a dropped feather on the elegant tiles of the elegant dwelling.  For a moment, she just sits on the cornice, her eyes gazing upon the horizon.  She’s been aloft a long time, and she lost track of her flight somewhere over the cold expanses of Alberta… or was it ( Read more... )

Her eyes were idly taking stock of the room - but the moment they mull over his silhouette, her heart jumps, if a vampire's heart can skip, anyway. Memories. She never did allow herself to unchain them - and thus her visage remains impassible as she observes him, on the other side of the glass. It is a bit windy, but it does not affect her stability, though the branches may brush against the glass.

T: Oh, good. Convenient is always a good thing, indeed. :-P She was begging me to usher her back into Marius' life, believe it or not.

If Pandora was inclined to panic, it certainly would be a good word to describe the emotion which runs through her - peeping at Marius seems to have put her... in exactly the position she wanted to avoid... or did she?

And so she floats away from the window, retreating to the rooftop once more, though it isn't difficult to locate her for one as powerful as he. In truth, she's stealing time to collect her self - or so she claims.

Firekeeper is padding in from the dark, wolfish eyes glowing yellow in the eyes. Dropping the rabbit in her mouth upon sensing that odd smell - Vampire, she remembers one of them telling her, she lifts her nose into the air, sniffs a bit longer to be sure it's not one she knows, and then howls.

The wretched animal! Pandora has no patience for this kind of business, and so she descends up upon it with a hiss designed to terrify it into silence... until she hears very distinct thoughts. Then, she pauses.

Firekeeper wheels with a snarl, baring white teeth and shrinking back, but less in fear than in readiness to spring. However, she recognizes the dominance in this one and lowers her hackles, though not withdrawing the threat. After all, even a submissive wolf will fight back if attacked.

"Silly beast," Pandora whispers. "I have no time for you this night. Be at peace."

And she returns to her observation point - she is bent on locating those whom she seeks out.

T: We're sorry, Pan is a bit stressed right now.

Jaenelle is standing out on the grass and singing. Not for any really good reason, just singing, eyes lifted toward the sky and closed. When Pandora's feet hit the roof, her eyes snap open and she turns to look at her with intensely blue eyes, tilting her head.

"Any particular reason for landing on the roof?" She asks mildly.

Her power is strong - what ever this woman is, it is not ordinary, and Pandora does not discount her.

"Discretion," she says quietly. "It is late, is it now?"

Jaenelle smiles. "There's little need of that here. And little use. Many people will notice your arrival, no matter where it is." She shrugs. "It is. Most are asleep, though there are always some awake."

But the one I am concerned about won't. She thinks it hard - something about making things clear. Already, she feels Maharet stirring in the confines of the mansion. Soon, she will pay her respects.

*Maharet opens a window, smiling faintly* A dramatic entrance.

"My Lady Maharet." Pandora smiles in turn - but it is a meek smile, intended to return the salutation, rather than express joy.

The formality isn't neccesary. *'particularly here', she could add, but what would be the point of that?* Have you found yourself here accidentally or arrived for some purpose?

Pandora enters the room, and looks out the window a moment. The memories are fresh and the cut still gapes.

"I don't doubt that you know, better than anyone, my purpose here, Maharet," she says after a time. "I have come for companionship."

I have come for Marius. The thought of him is more than she can bear and the pain is intense - too intense to conceal, particularly from one such as the Faunt.

T: I am assuming Pan is meeting with Maharet after Marius - and so feel free to use what you want in that thread, of course.

Lestat, in an attempt to distract himself from the fact that he is yet again living here, has gone out for a walk. The sight of someone levitating stops him in his tracks, he has only ever been privy to one other being that could do this and this is most certainly not him. He stares at her rather dumbstruck, not quite sure of what he should do next.

Typist Note: Lestat is pre QotD (as we have finally decided) so met Pandora he has not, though he's heard some things.

She feels his confusion - and yes, she feels him... young. Younger. Not so strong as she might have known him to be. Could this be the effect of his travels?

She descends, concerned. "Lestat de Lioncourt. You are well." She is most disconcerted by this conflicting realization.

"Do you know me?" He looks her up and down searching for something familiar but can find nothing. He can only discern from what he sees that she is one of the old ones and that she is quite powerful.

His mind is clouded - or is it blank? for all that was the Brat Prince seems to have been reduced to its simplest expression. Pandora tilts her head to the side, and says, "I know of you."

She does not say more. It is not her place to alter the course of time.
