A Party!

To celebrate the marriage of David Talbot and Nicolas de Lenfent, there is a small informal gathering in the tower. The happy couple are both inside with young Lilli (who has been allowed to stay up late, just this once). They would welcome friends old and new to share a drink in celebration.

Lestat, respecting the fact that he is not welcome here, but too curious to entirely stay away is watching from a dark hallway. The bitterness that rises up in him is almost too much to contain, but he does not interrupt the celebration. He sighs as thoughts of the past wash over him drowning the bitterness in sorrow.

David is just answering the door to another guest when he sees Lestat in the corridor. He gives him a long look and sighs. He's still not forgiven him for what happened the other day. Something he never really expected of him.

"Lestat." He says softly. "Won't you come inside?"

"I'd rather stay right here if it's all the same to you, though I appreciate the invitation." He sighs and with only a slight hint of bitterness in his voice says "You two look very happy together."
