Grindelwald is bored - and a bored dark wizard is never a good thing.

He's sitting in the main room of the Mansion, idly flicking his wand. The nearby furniture transfigures into random, grotesque animals and back again before they can make so much as a yelp of surprise.

He sighs loudly, signalling his boredom. Any company would be more than welcome ( Read more... )

Miranda is instantly mesmerized, and stops as soon as she notices to openly stare. Her father did magic, of course, but it was never anything like this.

He finally catches her staring and sound amused. "Is something wrong?" He switches a chairleg into a startled-looking squirrel then back to a chairleg again.

She shakes her head, retreating a few shy steps. "No, sir."

"What's your name?" His voice is pleasant, even charming. His looks are fresh, young and handsome. He doesn't look like he'd be harmful to anyone at all.

"Good Lord!" Armand exclaims when he sees what Grindelwald is doing. "Could you stop that please?"

"Why?" He asks casually as a table turns into a tiny elephant and back again.

"The poor animals... you're being cruel."

"If anything, it's being cruel to the furniture," Gellert lets out a hearty laugh. "As that's what they really are."

And neither are unhappy Warlord Princes. Lucivar comes inside frowning, though at least Jaenelle is finally sleeping, and takes one look at what Grindelwald is doing. It sets his teeth on edge. "I shouldn't do that, were I you," he says coolly, his hand on the back of a chair and tapping his fingers slightly, membranous wings half-spread.

He looks around at him. "Ah, you again... What's wrong this time?"

Lucivar's golden eyes are curiously flat. "You may remember meeting a fellow named Armand St. Just."

Firekeeper is bored of being human, so she pads into the main room on four feet, looking rather more wolfish than usual, notices one of the animals and snarls before it abruptly changes back into a table.

She sits down and staaaares at it, waiting, then turns her eyes to the wizard, not looking too pleased, seeming to consider him warily. What are you doing that for? She inquires in wolfish, which he may or may not understand.

He isn't quite sure of what he heard so he just looks back at her. "Want something to chase, do you?" He instantly turns a small cushion into a rabbit that hops frantically off the couch and around the room.

She is off in an instant and hops on it, worrying it until it goes limp and then pausing to look back up at him. She drops the rabbit and flicks back to human form before picking up the rabbit again. "Your magic?" She inquires.

"I'm a wizard." He sounds proud, almost smug, about that.

Wilhelmina squeaks a little, watching the furniture, and stares, rather wide eyed, turning her gaze to Grindelwald and taking a step back, opening her mouth to demand what he thinks he's doing, then remembering that nearly everyone who can use magic here outranks her, shuts it again. Though she does wonder what he's doing with that peculiar stick of wood.

He glances to her. "Hello. I don't believe we've met." He puts on his most charming smile.

She gives him a shy little half smile, a bit wary but willing to be friendly - after all, Karla said that all the Blood here belong to Jaenelle. Still assuming that he's Blood despite the fact that his psychic scent isn't right, she takes a small step closer. "No, I don't think so."
