Attention:

I think we can get the frame or perhaps the walls raised if we work hard for a few days. The hardest part is transporting materials from the plothole to the house site.

Anyone who said they'd help or wants to, please see me. I can show you the house site if you haven't been.

When this is all done, I'll find a ( Read more... )

After a very long and very long argument with a brother, Jaenelle has agreed not to help out today. She doesn't look very happy about it, but she still looks rather pale and sickly, wrapped snugly in a blanket and robe as she goes looking for Armand to apologize.

Armand can be found nearby, studying his plans.

She goes over to him and taps his shoulder carefully. "Armand? Pardon me..."

He looks up and starts to smile. "Jaenelle..." Then he frowns instead, reaching for her hand. "You still don't look terribly well. Why are you out and about?"

Lucivar shows up rather quickly, rubbing his hands together. "All right, go ahead and put me to work. That's what I'm here for."

"Wonderful! The hardest part is carrying stuff." He explains how much lumber needs to be moved. "If you can start on that I would greatly appreciate it."

A quick grin. "Right," and he vanishes fairly quickly, coming back carrying a heap of lumber, setting it down carefully, then calling in another bunch and setting that down too.

Armand gives him a list of the supplies needed. "The lumber first--just like that--would be a great help. I can ask someone else to help getting the other things until you're done." He is delighted with the help and all but bouncing.

Monsieur DeRomanus,

This house site is in the woods adjoining a big abandoned house not far from here. More specific information is hard to give, but if one of the workman can meet me here, I can lead him there.

Thank you for your generous offer.

M. de Romanus,

Thank you again, and don't worry about it. I am grateful for what help you can send.

-St Just

As for the workmen, Armand greets them both pleasantly and bows. "I'm Armand St. Just. Are you the men M. de Romanus sent?"

((What do you wanna do with your NPCs?))

Draco reads the note then goes in search of Armand. The mysterious aging spell has worn off so he's back to normal again now.

He isn't that far, since he's looking for helpers.

"Draco, back to normal?"

"If that's what you want to call it," he wrinkles his nose slightly.

"Oh what now?" he asks. "I know things have been difficult for you lately."

Karla shows up with a broad grin. "So...how can I help?"

He gives her a prompt hug and kiss, though almost distractedly as he's fully into house-building supervisor mode. "Can you get these from the plothole and move them to the site?" It's a long list of supplies for the house--like nails and window glass and tools and hard hats and whatever isn't lumber to start with.
