When she breaks away, she says, "Something happened. You're acting different."

"Like how?" a little self-conscious now. After all, he still remembers about crackplots.

"You usually... it's usually not okay. Us... like this. For you."

"For me ta kiss you?"

[dragon_dealer]

"Well, you try sometimes, because you think you should, I guess, but usually you don't, because of her."

"Who?"

[dragon_dealer]

She looks a little vex. "Your other lady. The one before me."

[fingersofleaf]

He looks slightly sheepish. "I--I don't remember another lady."

[dragon_dealer]

"Percy..." She touches his cheek, thinking a little.

"Just you, that's all. Is that bad? Was she real important?" His hand is still at her waist.

[dragon_dealer]

She doesn't answer, but kisses him, for a rather long time. "I love you so much," she finally says, breaking away. There might be a small tear on her cheek.

Percy looks worried for a moment, lifting his free hand to her face and brushing his fingers over her cheeks very softly. "I love you, too. I love you. Is it okay?"

She nods. "Of course it is. You're my husband, aren't you?"

"Yeah," with a sudden, brilliant smile. "You're my wife. You're so beautiful."
