*Maharet arrives, polite as always to her fellow vampires, smiling* I offer you and Nicholas my most sincere congratulations, though I doubt anyone could have anticipated such a match.

As Maharet arrives, David stands and bows slightly, giving her the respect he believes she deserves.

"Thank you. Yes it is rather soon and perhaps an unexpected relationship, but I love him very much, and I hope to spend many years with him."

I'm glad - such relationships between those of our kind seem to be quite unfortunately rare, many of us tending towards solitude. But I must caution you about attempting to conform your relationship to human marriage - 'till death do us part' was hardly written with immortals in mind.

David bristles a little at that.

"And with all due respect, I'm sure you understand that it is a factor I have already had to come to terms with. Why should I not love him for each day that he has, even if he doesn't have each day I shall?"
