*He stares for a moment, and then looks downwards* I've fallen to some blade or poison, and arrived in Hades. I wish I could recall what had killed me. *secretly, he's hoping someone up there is describing how it happened to various strangers*

Oh, man. You should be so lucky. D'you know how many people die here? And then come back, and die again?

Richard, eventually notices him and starts a bit, but smiles. "Oh! Hello. Are you... I say, are you quite alright?"

*he smiles wanly* As alright as any man who has died unexpectedly can be. How odd it is, though, that I have forgotten crossing with Charon...

"Ah." He stands and offers a sympathetic smile. "I will presume to observe, sir, that while you may have died, you do not appear to, at present, be dead."

I've seen many dead in my time. They look alive, most of them, in some way. Should it not just some other way that we still look alive here?

*recognizes him at once* Well?

*sharp, panicked gasp* Not only dead, but condemned to Tartarus!

*a short laugh* If this place is Tartarus, we have all been misled.

*he almost hesitates, but figures "hey, I'm dead, in the land of the condemned, I might as well speak freely"* And that would not be fitting punishment for most of us?
