Having recovered slightly (but now carrying a knife tucked in her skirts, and another sheathed visibly), Melisande has emerged from her room and is sitting the the main sitting area, sipping a glass of fizzy water, Rebecca, a new find, propped open on her lap. She looks absolutely fascinated with it, but company is always better than any book.

Whistling to himself, Murata sees the lady reading and leans over to peer at the book cover, trying to read the title.

She closes it to show him, keeping her finger in her place. "Hello," she murmurs. "It's a sort of classic, I've heard."

"Oooh.. I haven't read it. Is it good?" His manner is cheerful, his eyes twinkling at her.

She smiles at him, her eyes bright blue and captivating. "It's wonderful. Very dark. A sort of "gothic romance" I think is how they described it?" She glances at the back.

Armand, still upset from his memory restoration and hoping it will fade, is wearing down a bit from his pretense that he's fine. He smiles, pleasantly surprised to see her.

"Melisande!" he says, faking cheerful. "I am glad to see you doing so well."

Melisande stands up immediately upon seeing him and will attempt to give him a very friendly hug, her face shining beatifically. "Armand! Oh, how wonderful to see you again. I did so wonder where you had gotten to."

"I've been around, here and there," he says, evasive but truthful. "Family life can keep a man busy."

He accepts the hug, though he tenses slightly at the contact.

She nods sympathetically. "It certainly can," she says, releasing him slowly. "Come, sit with me. How is your husband? And the child, Etienne?"
